How do i Texture properly in MAYA
Does anybody know of any good Tutorials on UV's or how to scale manipulate textures in Maya.
I've created a huge tower but one texture is covering the whole Mesh... It's also needs rotating... I've lookied at the Maya tutorials but i'm stumped... It's all a bit too complicated (or seems to be) for a newcomer like me! Thanx for any help Mal

Umm...It's complicated. I have kind of just figured it out(after 3 days of mucking around.) Here is a kind of basic tutorial http://w1.185.telia.com/~u18514485/t...sic_texturing/ but it only deals with cubes.
You want to read everything you can about the UV Texture editor. That it what allows you to 'unwrap' the textures on complex objects, so you can do a nice paintjob in photoshop.
