He hasn't convinced me, nor has he convinced my administration." -George W. Bush, Crawford, Texas, Aug. 21, 2002

"This foreign policy stuff is a little frustrating." -George W. Bush, as quoted by the New York Daily News, April 23, 2002

"And so, in my State of the - my State of the Union - or state - my speech to the nation, whatever you want to call it, speech to the nation - I asked Americans to give 4,000 years - 4,000 hours over the next - the rest of your life - of service to America. That's what I asked - 4,000 hours." -George W. Bush, Bridgeport, Conn., April 9, 2002

"My trip to Asia begins here in Japan for an important reason. It begins here because for a century and a half now, America and Japan have formed one of the great and enduring alliances of modern times. From that alliance has come an era of peace in the Pacific." -George W. Bush, who apparently forgot about a little something called World War II, Tokyo, Feb. 18, 2002

"He [Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi] said I want to make it very clear to you exactly what I intend to do and he talked about non-performing loans, the devaluation issue and regulatory reform and he placed equal emphasis on all three." -George W. "The folks who conducted to act on our country on September 11th made a big mistake. They underestimated America. They underestimated our resolve, our determination, our love for freedom. They misunderestimated the fact that we love a neighbor in need. They misunderestimated the compassion of our country. I think they misunderestimated the will and determination of the Commander-in-Chief, too." -George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Sept. 26, 2001

Along this topic....

Great quote F7! lol, I almost fell out of my chair on a few of them.

My fav. all time has to be from Dan Quail a few years back during Bush's dad's time of presidency. I need to paraphrase it, because I can't remember the EXACT quote, but it's something like this: "We must construct ant-satellite weapons because we could not have prevailed without them in Red Storm Rising."

I recognized this one as a joke I had received through the e-mail. But, did you know that snopes.com has heard it, too.

Yet another "George W. Bush is dumb" story has been taken up by those who like their caricatures drawn in stark, bold lines.
Far be it from me to defend Bush's intelligence or his command of the Englsh language, or lack thereof, but, I do feel compelled to observe that Tony Blair denies that this episode ever occurred.

WTF? Clinton a better pres just cause he was a better speaker? Being a good public speaker is not what you vote for or support. I thought Clinton was terrible - he just looked good sometimes (cause Hillary helped him limp along). Crap - he was even given credit to helping the economy, when in reality it was Bush Sr. that did that - just takes a few years for it to show, which happened to be beginning of Clinton's term. I'd better stop... Could go on forever and refuse to! Bush had my Florida vote
