Mod pics

Ahh finally got a Digicam and I thought I would share some pics of the PC I recently built.

Here is the front. Nothing special. All black, Lian Li PC71 aluminum case. I have yet to hook up the DigiDoc up on top there.

120mm exhaust fan goodness.

2x 80mm sidefans blowing cool air on the PCI/AGP area. The heatsink is a Volcano 7+. You can see the Leadtek G4 4600 there. The entire card is wrapped in a heatsink and on the bottom side it has 2 cooling fans. You can't really see the glow in the light, but theres a blue cold cathode in there.

Here is my PC setup. The 22" monitor on the right is for my black gaming PC. The 19" on the left is for my XP Pro/SuSe 8.0 dualboot. I do image editing, IRC, CD-burning, etc. on the left PC. The box in the middle on the bottom between the 2 PCs is my subwoofer.

Sweet.

But I believe it's the 61. The 71 has 3 more bays.

That is the exact case I have with the window. No lights, though.

I disconnected my Doc. Checked temps thru Summer and d/c'ed it.

Time to drink that liquor in the background.

edit: I need to borrow V-Man's camera so I can show mine.

I think Mofo runs the KVM switch.

Just beware what the "hot" button is when playing UT.

Nice case. Hows the finish hold up on that type of case? I have read you have to clean'em all the time.

Now you know why I named the PC "Inkswitch"!

No it didn't come with the PC...hence the whole "I built it myself" thing.

Hog the desk was cheap. $130 at OfficeMax I think? Or Office Depot.

The maker is Bush Furniture. Here's a link to the model

http://www.bushfurniture.com/html/computer_14.htm

It's a really well built cart. Took me about 30 minutes to assemble. It's very sturdy and the wheels are nice for sliding the cart out to get at your wiring behind.

I really like that cart thingy too.

How do you like the Hitachi Superscan? My 22" (NEC Multisync FE1250) recently ate itself (nothing syncs up) and I'm looking for something to replace it with.

nice pics F7. I'd wish i can buy a nice case like yours in Hong Kong. Can't find any case that has a transparent side style.

btw, what's that 'ball with stick' doing on the the right hand side of your pic (next to the monitor)??

Moot I got the Hitachi refurbished for $200.00. I generally don't like buying refurbished things, but this monitor had a .22mm pitch and some other great features. The monitor is performing great though and I've had no problems with it (it's pretty much on 24-7).

iitna - I would imagine Lian-Li cases are much easier to get a hold of in Japan. Check around you might be surprised. The windows are easy to cut; get a dremel tool. Or you can even look around online for pre-modded cases so you don't have to bother.

The ball on a stick is a desk light It's facing the wall because it throws some serious light.

Picked up a Samsung 19" with .20 dot pitch a few weeks ago on sale at Best Buy for $199.00. Newish model... looks and performs very well so far... if anybody's looking.

Nice set-up F7!
