i.m heartened by the fact that writers, producers are using material from the second edition notes as material to liven this up a bit. the hobbit was, and is a rather childish tale. first a wonderful thing happened, and then another wonderful thing happened and so on and so forth. hardly worth one movie, let alone two. i guess the directors have managed to weave in gandalf's struggle with the necromancer. please no more stretching female contributions, just 'cause. tolkien had a plethora of heroic and powerful females, you don't need to invent more. apparently it will be released in 48fps. some controversy there. i mean who among you would run your ut experience at 48 fps

Just saw the previews to this in the theater and it looks like it could be good. After that, I'm not sure.
