Well, probably, as whoever you're on about probably has your fb and now has saw you status. lol :P

Or, more correctly:
Well, probably, as whoever you're on about almost certainly has access to your Facebook and has seen your status.

Seriously though, I can live with typographical errors and the occasional misspelled word (Firefox helps with those), but how the hell do people not take the time to even try to spell words so that they make sense. "Probly"... what the hell is that? The fact that people continuously misspell words the same way every time really annoys me. How hard is it to put in an extra "ab"? Probably... there I did it, why can't they?

Christ, internet chats surpass the 'bad grammar' line. If a race of aliens were to learn about the human race through the internet, amongst discovering that we are a violent, pr0n loving race, they would think that 98% of our population were retards...

I believe the spectrum of legibility is as follows :

• Finest : English majors who write for a living
• Extremely well writen : those who write for inter-business, documentation, or education (e.g. professional online tutorials)
• Very good : those who rise above flamewars / flamebait or who respond to ambiguous questions on the Internet
• Rather good : those on the Internet for whom English is a secondary language
• Passable : those on the Internet whom resort to using online translation services
• Poor : people whose first language is English, yet do nothing but blather on all day about inconsequential matters
• "Could you repeat that in plain English?" : texting, instant messaging, and social sites as their only written language

From my personal experience, I have seen many people write the way they speak, and often that is without much attention to diction. The quality of writing may also be proportional to the amount a person reads [proper writing,] which would give them a better base to compare to.

Thankfully, according to Dorko, I'm in one of the top two tiers. I am an English major, and I do write a TON. Also, essays have always been my strong point. I have major OCD when it comes to writing, and have to correct everything I see. Even if it's reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally minor.

This is going to sound crazy, but EverQuest is what taught me how to write fast, and write correctly. You sort of need to when you are carrying on 15 different conversations, and all of them are about something really complex.

Well, I'm neither an English Major nor do I write for a living, but I don't see why anyone with a decent standard of education shouldn't write correctly.

It's sad, though. There are tons of people who are in their 3rd or 4th year of college, and SUCK at writing. I'm in 400-level courses, and some of the essay's I've corrected were ridiculous. I think some of the people are just lazy, though. They know everyone else will correct it for them.
