awesome. One of the best parts of the X-Men movies, definitely.

It has already been taken down, even on YouTube. I guess the rest of us will have to wait for the official trailer(s) to hit Apple.

Curious if this movie is watchable in its finished form?

Many of the reviews on IMDB that rate it at 10 stars read like paid-placements or at least industry-related 'supporting' reviews (which imo has become VERY common for the launch period reviews even on indie films). Looking elsewhere I get a mixture that's hard to make anything from. Trying to ignore the 'leak' version reviews as much as possible, so far I've read that the special fx look bad (rushed?) and the movie tears not only the original comics (canon) to shreds but also doesn't fit with the 3 established x-men films. I can set that aside if the movie is at least an enjoyable movie to see with my wife but it's really difficult to tell if it's even that.

So looking for the responses from some UP'ers. Initially I was thinking that I'd see this just to do my part to avoid FOX coming out and denouncing piracy's effect on their business etc etc, but if the movie is truly awful I may just skip it and see Terra instead.

It appears a second trailer has been leaked, revealing a surprising subplot ...

lol

I'm just trying to gauge if this is actually worth the theatre visit today. As long as I don't cringe too much (punching the air/dancing around the room "hacking" for instance) and my wife doesn't yawn I'm happy. If the movie rises above those expectations, all the better.

I saw it yesterday, and all 3 of us who went found it enjoyable. None of us are comic buffs, so I don't know/care how it relates to the books, but taken on it's own, it's a good action movie.

Though not great it was better than I thought it would be. Definitely better than the lsat X-men flick.

Has some good moments and some awful ones but all-in-all OK for a matinee.

THAT is what I was wondering, thanks. X3 was in the highly 'meh' territory for me, the story was just too rambling and then the 'wrapup' on the prison island was too...big budget hollywood but small in scope (movies that shrink in scope from being too wide like that smack from needing more development in between & more tidying up loose ends imo). X2 actually surprised me with how it dealt well both with the treatment of the subject and hitting a poignant enough note to do justice to Jean Grey. I'm certainly not going to be offended if it doesn't hold to canon, but if it at least falls between X2 & X3 as an entertainment experience then I'll see it after all. Put it on my place for wed/thurs when my wife is off work. Thanks!
