Went to Street Scene yesterday, California's largest music festival. I wasn't interested in most of the bands they had playing yesterday, I probably would have gone today but for one reason. My favorite DJ was there and I got to watch him perform live! I worked my way up to the front right before he came on, so I was like 20 feet away from him. Anyone who's into techno should recognize the name - BT. His latest CD is at the top of my recommendations list, and I have most of his records and all of his albums. Here's a few of the pictures I took yesterday, I'll post some more as soon as my camera's battery charges.

My camera has a 4x zoom, so that plus the fact that I was so close got me some pretty good pics. This one's small enough to post here: |

Ziggy Marley was also there, I died laughing because I looked around and realized a lot of people were passing around joints. They weren't hippy-looking or Rastafarian either , it was a group of whiter-than-white (Bob Sagat white) men O_o ... Don't Rastafarians consider white men to be the devil?

It depends -- it's a religion. Some are exclusivist, some recognize the Africanness of everyone, no matter how light their skin. Dog |

me no listen to techno, dunno alot about techno. Won't mind trying out new music. but i still like a few classical and music i played in band. go my 3 valve tuba, beat that BT!!!!
On a side note, i quite wind ensemble. oh well... sorta sucks, but i don't have music theory backing me up when all the others are gr.11 my last music course was gr.9. hope the conductor's having fun if his remaining tuba player makes enuff sound. ![]() |

BT is pretty good (thank you KaHaR for introducing me to him)
Dj Tiesto just rocks. There are no words to describe that man. A really awesome track called "lights out(lemon 8 lights on mix)" by North Atlantic, could be described as a more darker side of techno. Grab it. Get it. You won't be disappointed! --Airlea currently setting up her techo for her morning boost

BTW...
BT and his ilk(Oakie, Sasha & Digweed, Christopher Lawrence, Timo Maas, Sandra Collins, Paul Van Dyke) are not Techno, but Trance. The "techno" genre namespace is already cluttered enough. I'll spare you my judgements on trance.

House, Trance, Techno,Euro - its all kind of the same in a way, seeing how they all seem to have mix in parts from the other categories -hehe. Plus it all started in my garage - LOL!
Anyway: http://www.digitallyimported.com/ For some cool trance and techno, House
