VCTF - which vehicles to what team? (and some more mapping questions)
Not a level design question, but rather - how do I set what team a vehicle belongs to once it spawns? I haven't found that setting anywhere, and the only way I can enter the vehicles when I'm testing the level in the editor is when I set them to neutral, but there must be a way to assign them to the teams
![]() Another problem I'm having: Is there an easy way to blend to materials on a BSP or mesh surface, like, having one softly blend into the other? Or should I make a material with two opacity maps, both for one texture each, and then multiply that map with the respective texture (if that works, haven't tried)? Specificially, I have a canal that opens up into the open sea. I have a canal water texture, and an open sea texture, and would like the canal texture to transition smoothly into the sea texture. Lastly, when I want my bots to use lifts, I have to put lift center nodes and lift exit nodes, and then I assign the exits to the center. My question: Are the lift exit nodes on the lift when it stops, or just outside? Whew, so many questions at once ![]() |

Oups, the VCTF question fixed itself - once there's 2 flags, it assigns them automatically
![]() Is there a way to override that automatic assignment then? Not a problem in my current map, but I'm wondering ![]() |

There must be some way to set it to neutral. Open up suspense and see what they did with the manta under the bridge.

surf board
how do i get the surf board to work, i dont see it as a vehicle , and i allways have the trans locator, im missing something somewhere, i havent seen any tut's for it either, thanks in advanced ..

Aye, I found that one, but can you move them to the other team, so it's locked for the one the game auto-assigns it to?
Haven't seen a hoverboard without a mutator in CTF yet. You can just prefix your vehicle-less CTF map with VCTF though, like VCTF-MyMapName.ut3, that'll automatically give you a hoverboard... |

As far as I know the Hoverboard is assigned in VCTF and WAR maps, and the xLoc in CTF.

hehe im such a noob , i had a space in the name of anouther map, caused stuff not to work right ,an i allways loaded that one up first, so when i renamed that one, restarted everything , i went to the VCTF-Map and WalLa,i have a surf board , weird how the space in the name causes many problems, thanks for all your help folks
