A friend of mine had a cyberpower. It's one of those..."I've seen it before" laptops but the price is ok. It's not "WOW" or "DANG" its just alright. I'm using a Dell XPS Gen 2 laptop which is kick arse and its design is unique (Cyberpower has designs that are used by other clone companies).
This thing has a built in sub-woofer ^_^ |

Moved.
![]() Is there a reason you are looking at them versus one of the big names in laptops? The biggest complaint that I have heard about any of the smaller guys is the poor service... Meaning, that while you are more likely to get a human on the phone, you may not get the part you need as they don't have an as-well organized supply chain. At least that was my buddy's experience with some of the smaller companies. That being said, they've got some great prices over there at cyberpower. An SLI notebook for under 4K... Nice! |

Thanks Kingster. Ya I'm a little weary of the support but support from all them is less than perfect.
As far as the larger companies go... Sony I like (both laptops and in general), trust (enough), and I do work like 200 ft from a Sony Style store. I'm hooked on their nicer monitors. But I know I'm going to spend a lot of cash with them. HP/Compaq I've only had trouble with (PCs) and I don't like what I've heard from friends who have them. I don't care for their layout and I don't want to deal with them anymore. Toshibas I don't dislike, but rather just don't care for. I have lots of friends who have mid level Toshibas and rave about them. The only one I really like is that quasimoto mammoth and it's way expensive and imo not quite as good as it's competitors in class. Dell I go back and forth on. PC experience has been so-so. I hear a lot of good and bad. Their higher end laptops I don't like looking at, meaning they are an eyesore to me and I wasn't super impressed with the monitors. I feel like with something like cyberpower I might not be excited when I see the monitor. But I'm prepared for that if I can get everything else I want. They been around and have quite alot of models too. I'm just so hooked with the Sony monitors and I have to see them when I pass by their store several times a week. I don't even go in anymore so I don't get biased. overrandom: Alienware is a no way for sure. I'm shocked that they're still around actually. Man I don't know. I'm tired and overworked. I'll sleep on it.All comments welcome! |
