Whats your favorite weapon? How do you use it to your advantage?

I've noticed after getting fragged by a ton of UT players regurlarly. That there are some players that do alot of heavy damage with 1 particular weapon. Maybe they have refined their methods of using that piece of weapon. I for instance have the best luck with the Razor blade weapon. I love bouncing it off the walls. There are times I get killed and a split second later my opponents head gets lopped off! COOL!!!!!! Especially within tight quarters! I'm very lucky with that device. I will dump alot of weapons just to use that razor gun. It's a close shave but my second favorite is the Sniper Rifle. I'm very lucky with that one too. I just happen to use the ammo way too quickly with that one!! I lose alot of point potential sticking with the Razor blades, but in the long run. Fun is what it's all about! Laterz. Excelscior.

I'm really good with the super shock rifle. I can kill people with one hit every time.

I've also refined my skill with the vacillation gun. It doesn't kill them, it just fills them with doubt on wether they're shooting at the right person.

In man2man fight the Flak.
For middle distance the Rocket.
Overall universal is for me the minigun.
I think very goog for middle to long is the Shock but not 4 high pinger like me.

instagib rifle (of course. i am an instagib player) reedemer vaporise enemy flag carrier and their defendes hehe and for destroying campers hehehe and flack cannon i am good with this for some reason i have a stragey for use and it involves faining (lol)

defense and when someone doesn't know i'm fighting them: shock rifle, can't deny the power. and it's a very versatile wepaon with it's 3 "styles" (primary fire distance, secondary close range, combo...everything =)

if someone knows i'm there: depends on their weapon, RL or Flak if they have a shock themselves and they are pretty good with it, if i'm a better shock ho I don't bother to change weapons =) shock duels are pretty fun though, a dance between going for combos, pinging them to make them miss theirs, or just going for the non-combo kill =)

impact hammer: maps with corridors and corners, fun stuff =) (DIE INFIDE!)

bio rifle: everything. best...weapon....ever

I've got lava down pat. I hardly ever miss now. When a map doesn't have lava, well, I always whine.

And, the spring in my step always increases when I see that greenish glow of lethal industrial waste. Now, I'm not saying I am expert, but, I getting pretty darn good at industrial waste, too.

Lately, I've been experimenting with the always lethal water on the various Atomic Island maps. Cool stuff -- but, it takes practice.

Yup, UT offers me so many choices -- I hardly know where to begin.

I'd say I usually use the rocket launcher as my general purpose weapon, but lately I've been getting used to the shock rifle. I never use the ripper unless I'm completely out of ammo for everything else, and then only the secondary fire, it's just too random shooting bouncy razors everywhere. In some maps with alot of cramped in areas I'll use the flak in place of the rocket launcher to avoid the splash damage. Occasionally I'll use the mini, usually when there's nothing else I want near by. I rarely use the goo, snipe, or pulse guns but sometimes they're usefull on certain maps. As far as which weapon is most fun, I'd say the piston, but I'm not usually much help to the team when I whip it out, I'm just goofing off, so I try to avoid that.

Rocket Launcher, for close fighting with the primary, and when your being chased, with the secondary. If being chased, and have a guy chasing you around a corner 5-10 second away, load up as many granades as you can and aim directly below you, the Granades will be in the middle of the hall bouncing in the air and the chaser will be toast... gotta love it. If you cant aim directly below you without being blown then aim alittle bit up before you shoot.

shock rifle is good in duels especialy if u hit the enemy plasma ball as soon as they fire (messy)

Translocator of course. I mean, when I telefrag someone who is loaded with weapons armor,etc, and the fact that they still cant get me before I telefrag 'em, gawd. And the best part is that half the time they try to chase me down...and i telefrag em again.

For some cool shots I use the sniper rifle. I love killing ppl in mid air, or headshotting an entire ambush.



Anyway, ive seen some players that are ridiculously good with some weapons. LIke the other night, in an ogl match, there was this one guy that could pop my head off with the mini in just 1 or 2 seconds.

er, back to me. Even thought i consider my best weapons as the trans and rifle, i think of myself as more of a renaissance man. IM farily balanced with most of the weapons now.(even the goo....just need to remember not to walk into it.)

I can murder with hitscan weapons and Flak is my all time fav. but it depends on the map for me. I am coming along as a Shoc Ho, and my secret weapon is Translocator. Too bad pl ownz me, GG Cox cable!! Rox launcher suks!!! I am soo glad that only 3 are able to be launched simultainously with UT2K3 and sad yet optimistic that Flak bounces only once yet goes further. I guess you need to be over all proficient with all weapons even RL(ewwww!!) cause every map is a different game and ppl will take advantage of your weapon selection. Get to know them all!!

I've seen alot of people use the translocator as if it was second nature to them. I'm not good at all with it. Mainly because I rarely ever use it. Can anyone give some tips on it's use. Preferably either to kill and to toss at some remote locations. Like for example I tried shooting it onto a ledge. But the thing kept on bouncing off. It took about six attempts when it finally landed. But this one player must of been behind me the whole time waiting to fry me. Because when I "warped -up". I got blasted to pieces!! That was funny so I really don't use it for the most part. I think it's time I started using it so I can at least "get around for the teams sake". Anyways, thanks for the imput. Laterz. Exelscior.

yeah i got a tip for ya, use it like its the only thing you have. Get use to its arc and how to quick combo the mouse buttons to get where ya need to go. ive seen guys that never touch the ground going across most of the map. That is some fast button combos. As to telefrag ppl with it, well first learn how to get where ya wanna go then try to kill ppl with it when you can. i practice off of walls and weapon cycling before i hit the ground. nothing suks worse then getting caught in mid cycle and being blown to crap cause it took too long to get to a weapon. hang in there.
