UD3D Render Device

Anyone know where to find this Patch/Update? I used it awhile ago and it worked great...should have written it down....I need it to get UT running again, until then I can't play
In the GFP it reads: Make New<Ud3D Render Device
So can anyone help?

What exactly happened? did UT crash and u can't get it started, or are u having problems with your graphics card? If UT crashed just reinstall it. If its a graphics card issue with direct3d go to your graphic cards manufacturer page and get the latest drivers.

Or simply reassociate your graphics card with ut, under the UT graphics setup options

What patch are u talking about - UT patch436, or a patch for your card.

Your post is kind of vague... the unreal 4.36 patch is here
http://www.unrealengine.com/download/ut/436/

What kind of video card do you have?

Maybe this will help since you mentioned direct 3D:

What do u mean her mouse doesn't render in UT? You mean she can't see her mouse pointer? First thing she needs to do is describe what happened before things went bad. Then try reinstalling from scratch. If she is looking for the patch or driver she used before, I think there is a way in windows where u can see all the drivers etc.. which relates to a particular device and u can choose the one u want to use. But a better description of the problem is needed if u want to solve the problem.

UT crashed again, it read: Make New< UD3D Render Device
UT will run again when computer restarted, Only the arrow of the mouse is actually behind the words & anything else that shows up on the screen. Also alot of the lettering is missing from the screen before the game starts and the game itself is missing pieces from the screen. I have a Maxi Gamer tnt2 xentor 32, its new. It was choosen for stability. This happened once before and a patch/download was found to fix it ( only I can't find it ). I finally d/l the 436 patch and now I have this problem. Tekgod was kind enough to help out yesterday..thanks Tek.

Sobeit..thats a pretty common issue for that card in UT running D3D.

Just back up the c:\UnrealTournament\system\d3ddrv.dll file from the 432 version, install the 436 upgrade and then replace d3ddrv.dll with the backup copy.

Or, if you have already installed 4.36 get the file here
http://unreal.epicgames.com/d3ddrv432.zip and overwrite the d3ddrv.dll file. (back it up first if you want..)

And you will be one with your Mini-Gun once again..

Go to their website and get the latest driver. Choose your graphichs card in the drop downlist. Read the instructions- there is a note concerning graphical bugs. You don't just want to cure the unreal tournament bug, but any bugs which may arise in the future. My guess is you would install the driver after u install ut, so ut does not overwrite stuff.

Just curious - Xentor32 is a good card but I don't think it has T&L since its based on older chip technology. If it does not u won't be able to run unreal2 supposedly.

Although the manufacturer recommends running it in opengl, you should fix the direct3d problem since I think most games will be using direct3d. I tried ut's opengl when I first got my voodoo almost 2years ago, it worked fine for the first few hours and then everything started going haywire. (Opengl is experimental in ut and they do not guarantee it to work properly maybe 436 fixes that) Anyway Glide rules!!! or it used to - hehe.

Yeah, plus i think OpenGL doesn't look as good as Direct3D. Performance wise i can't remember if they were the same or if D3D was better.

I use Glide because it r0x0rs
