ROTS - safe for kids?
I promised my kids i'd take them to see Revenge of the Sith, but had to break the promise becasue it's been rated M in OZ.
M being "recommended for mature aduiences". So, me and a mate are seeing it on Saturday, and if it's OK, i'll take them to see it on Sunday. My boys are 6 (just turned) and 7 (8 next month). So is it really that bad to warrant an M rating? I'm quite strict on what i let my kids see in terms of violence and language, but sci fi i normally let them view if i've seen it before, and am in the room with them.

I haven't seen it, L_S, but I do know that in Quebec it got rated G. Here in the U.S. it got rated PG-13, the first S.W. movie to be rated higher than PG. It doesn't seem anyone agrees on how to rate the content.

there are sum very violent parts but imo i think you can take the kids. Theres nothing in there that you wouldn't see on cable t.v.
however.......it is a VERY DARK movie halfway in.There is a very STEEP descend to the dark side! |

You don't see anything that you wouldn't see in Lord of the Rings. However, some people die that probably look a lot like your sons...so I dunno how they'd be taking that. Maybe 6 is a bit too young in honesty.

Yeah, good points. I'll see it first and make the decisions.
They've seen lord of the rings, so if it's on par i'll take them the next day (then i get to see it twice....w00T)
