The GyroLauncher, (XepptizZ)

Primairy fire;
Gyro's are shot flying as fast as a rocket, in a straight line. It explodes in a plasma like explosion after a second some player gets within 3 feet of it's radius. The blades on it will make it stick to a player when hit.

Secondairy fire;
Flings out the gyros on the floor wich them keep spinning and moving a little. It explodes after a second a player gets within it's 3 feet radius.

Haze of nailes wich ricochet ones or twice.

Loads up several clips to shoot in a rapid utomatic succession.

Origin;
In previous times nails were often used to get something onto walls. With the invention of Nailguns, people hoped to abandonning the hammer. Unfortunatly, the nails where stamped right into the walls so that you couldn't hang up anything on the walls anymore. Sometimes there were cruel accidents in which nails flew through the walls and hit people in the other room. There were even victims that were killed in those accidents.
Banned from open society, Liandri discovered the Nailgun again. They modified the original design with their Flak technology in order to make the gun even deadlier. Nowadays, the Nailgun is used as a Flak replacement in some tournaments.

The RipJackClaw (XepptizZ)

Primairy fire,
Claws consistently move and rip apart what ever is in front of it.

Secondary,
Claw stretches out and spins like hell, gives about 50% damage decrease from non-instant hit weapons and most projectile weapons, it also has a nice shredding ability. But when spinning it creates a small gust of wind wich makes forward movement a bit difficult.

Special,
claws spike forward to a point wich is hopefully in the very pittyfull victim, while in agony the victim is rather pertrified, but luckely for the poor soul the claws stretches out again, resulting in gibs everywhere and the stains on you and the Claw to proove that you like death.

Ouch! Hehee! What'd you do Xepp to make Kingy yell at you? lol

I agree Xepp about the production being able to wait. I'm available right now for coding and texture making if needed. There will probably be a time this summer where I'll be unavailable though. I'm not any good with modeling, animating, and skinning though.

Now, I'm not saying that this should be a weapons mod that should go on one of UP's servers but personally I'd like this weapons mod to at least be *accepted* by the players on those servers as something they would play with. I know that's one of the server rules is "stock weapons" but if no one wants to play with this weapons mod then why make it?. That's why I would also like some *player's* input into this as well. Only the players truly know if they will use and like a weapon or not.

Lightweight Attack Munition OR "LAM" for short.

Primary fire. The lam can be thrown like a granade.
Secondary fire. The lam is placed on the wall and becomes a Proxcimity mine. When another player nears it BOOM! Guts fly everywhere.

SRY this is not origional this has been done in other games with people modding weapons. But they were always poor quality.

Nice going masta! I jsut had an idea for a gun thnx to you!

Something like the Gyrogun or Orbiter I'd cal it I think.

Primairy shoots orbs with blades, the orb and blades revolve at oposite directions so it's more stable (thus a gyro effects). It can hit someone and will cause some damage due to the blade and will explode 1 second afterwards. The orb will always explode if something is in it's vacinity (3 ft radius).

So if it nearly hits someone and sheers aside him it will stil explode one second afterwards, so the enemy is somewhat forced to move forward.

Alternatively it can be deployed like a proximity mine, but as it's a gyro it tends to swirl a certain area, thus making it harder to avoid, but also giving a distinguising techy humming sound.

Because it swirls in a patern (randomly preferably) the neemy can't look around to long to see where that humming is coming from.

It can be shot down offcourse if you can hit it. It doesn't have teamrecognition (it's not that techy).

The orb or gyro wich is fired is about the size of a tennisball. I think this would be a nice replacement for the biorifle.

Maybe I'll get some concepts of it done later.

Yep one game that I know of uses a LAM weapon. Deus Ex. You can throw them in a corridor that you know the enemy is going to come down and when they get near it BOOM!. lol

Stickey grenades have already been done to by my friend MeltDown. I tried to get MeltDown to Join UP but he didn't.

Another idea that would really be hard to make would be just a simple laser rifle that has unlimited range but doesn't have a scope. The hardest part would be the laser itself and always making sure that it reached from the gun all the way to what it was aimed at. No one has made this happen yet and there's gotta be a way. I've been thinking about it for quite some time too and cannot figure out how to do it.

Are you reffering to my idea, about the sticky grenades? Or are you reffering to the proxies of Masta Roshi?

Also, about the laser. Hmmm, couldn't you set the lifespan of the beam to be atleast long enough to clear the maximum shooting range? ( wich can be calculated with; (3 x 65536^2)^0.5

EDIT; The gravity gun shoots a beam wich can manipulate objects and enemys. You can move stuff around and blast it away towards an enemy. It might be a bit to powerfull.

Maybe you can use that as a look off then. Now that i think of it That is where i first saw it. It's a really good weapon.

How many ideas you got together so far?

I've got nearly a full compliment thought up that I wanted to do for my own mod, but I can't code and I don't know if I could even get coders together

For now there have just been 2 ideas. I'm not sure if this mod is gonna happen at all, but still. I like thinkin up concepts.

Also, I don't want this mod to be "My" mod. It should be a mod wich is made by UP. So I hope more peeps check it out and post their funky ideas.

I was thinking about a gun with a spidernet...when you shoot it to you enemy, your enemy can't do anything, then you switch rapidly with another gun and shoot him down.!!

Well, it was a short brainstorm idea.

I was thinking about a gun with a spidernet...when you shoot it to you enemy, your enemy can't do anything, then you switch rapidly with another gun and shoot him down.!!

Well, it was a short brainstorm idea.
lol spider net would be very hard to make it go all wiggly and wavy and stuff when it flys out of the gun. Well its not a bad idea but there is nothing new about it... i mean its old its very popular idea.

My idea would be make a new rocket launcher, well u know how in normal UT99 one there is time delay between fire... well i would like to make it shorter, and maybe have more ammo. Wouldnt be back to change the way of rockets too, for example make them different color and less smoke. More space for ammo like 60 or 70 would be good too. Make totaly new model for the gun its self and new model for ammo too. And it would all look like modification of rocket laucher but it will look totaly different and will be more fun because more rox, and faster delay between each shoot.
