Cereal

So I picked up a box of Frankenberry the other Day. I was all excited about it because, I can barely ever find it these days. Anyway, I got home poored some a bowl a delicious chemical goodness, and I found that the formula had been changed from what I remember.

I recall that it use to be like count chocula. I.e. Alphabets or like charm like cereal bits that were flavored strawberry, with Frankenberry shaped marshmellows.

What I got out of the box of Frankenberry, was more like a crunchberry or a smurfberry with marshmellows in it.

Well the Frankenberry was still pretty tasty, I still recall enjoying the previous incarnation a bit more.

Never had Frankenberry nor booberry in my life. I don't think they even sell it my supermarket.

The best cereal is Cap'n Crunch. Love that stuff.

Don't remember much about booberry, Frankenberry or chocula, but then one of my faves is indeed Cap'n Crunch - but only Peanut Butter... but my main fave used to be "Sugar Smacks" (aka "Smacks" or "Honey Smacks" today), which was renamed to be politically correct, when Sugar became an evil word.
nothing pisses me off more than political correctness...especially over the little things.

yeah well I'm still a bit upset they changed the baby Ruth bar from what I felt was one of the best over all to some sort of soft squishy thing... blah... boooooooooo.....

I never by them anymore now.. Still, I would guess if they were selling before then they would not have changed them..

What you need is a good aussie breakfast.

Weet-bix.
Bit of milk, some sliced banana and a drop of honey.
Oh man, breakfast heaven.

Then theres the Vegemite

And for all the kiddies who needed the extra sugar fix and couldn't afford batter, there were Waffleos.

And now they have Cap'n Crunch's Choco Donuts! Like Bart Simpson said, "They're not even trying anymore."

Suddenly the whole "I'm addicted to" - followed by my favorite cereal, takes on a whole different meaning.

We found Quisp in the store again recently-- there's been an internet campaign to bring it back--- MAJOR disappointment. It's formula has changed too and it was pretty bad--- of course my tongue is 25 years older too.
