did you see that 'Lawnmower has no fuel' message on your HUD? That's causing the bind not to work

Yeah, client side control of that action is disabled.
You'd have to subclass NeighboorhoodKid with BribedSlave and set bLetLawnGoToHell to true.

To properly use the MowLawn command, you must keep your aim at the same spot for 2 seconds so the LawnMower can get a valid target

Yes, we're for real. It's a bug. OMG EPIC FIX IT!!!

Seriously...you're right. People visit this thread in the hope to learn something about keybinds. So let me try explaining what I know about them.
First of all: how do you make them. There are some ways to do this:
1) you can add them to your user.ini, located in the \System subfolder of UT2004. Search for the [Engine.Input] part, at the '<key>=' lines. Just add the bind after those '=' to make the key do what you want.
2) an alternate way is from within UT2004 itself: start an 'instant action' match without bots, open up the console and type 'preferences' (no quotes). In the 'Advanced Options' menu, choose Advanced-Raw Key bindings. The advantage is that you can check your binds instantly, where the first method requires a restart of UT2004.
3) lastly, you can type 'set input <key> <command>' at the command prompt in UT2004. This isn't adviced for more complex commands though...

So...what kind of binds can you add? Eh...there are quite some commands, actually. Check here for some examples (at about the middle of the page): http://home.btconnect.com/ruination/.../tweakbind.htm .

It's possible to combine them with the '|' symbol, where all the commands are run after each other.
eg: A=Switchweapon 7 | Switchweapon 8 will switch to the flak cannon and immediately switch to the rocket launcer. Therefore, when using a bind like this, place the weapon you prefer the most at the end of the bind.
Note about the pipedswitchweapon command: pressing the key repeatedly switches you back and forth between the weapons. eg: A=pipedswitchweapon 5 | pipedswitchweapon 6 alternates between the minigun and the link gun. Strange enough, pressing the button the first time selects the link gun (weapon 5)

It's possible to use the 'onrelease' word to perform something when you release the button, eg A=Say Wheeeeee | onrelease suicide (to speed up things when you're falling in a ravine )

Some things can't be done in one bind; they need an alias. To create one, take an empty one and fill in the name and what it does. Do not change the aliasses that are already there! Just examine this example to see how it works:
Aliases[32]=(Command="Set ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem MusicVolume 0.20 | set input F6 MusicOff",Alias="MusicOn")
Aliases[33]=(Command="Set ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem MusicVolume 0.0 | set input F6 MusicOn",Alias="MusicOff")
...
F6=MusicOn

All in all, F6 now puts the music either on or off.

...And the previous bind uses another global thing: the 'Set' command. This command can change any setting in either user.ini or UT2004.ini. After the word 'set' you add the paragraph (ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem in the example) where the line is located, followed by the name of the line itself, and finally the new value. Of course, you should use this only if you know for sure what the use of that line is.

Finally, here are some examples from my own user.ini:
O=taunt gesture_point | playvehiclehorn 0 (in a vehicle, you honk the horn; otherwise, you taunt something)
Ctrl=teamsay à@@Status: àÀ@%a, %h, %s, %w (displays your adrenaline, health, armor and selected weapon to your team; using a good notable color)
Backslash=addbots 1 (I always start off with 0 bots, then add as much as I want)
Backspace=Stat fps (shows my Frames Per Second)
UnknownE2=getweapon Onslaught.ONSAVRiL | PipedSwitchWeapon 9 (gets me a weapon that will take care of an incoming raptor)
T=SwitchWeapon 10 | Use (switches to the translocator OR gets into a vehicle; onslaught doesn't use translocators, so there's no need to use 2 different buttons)
F4=ToggleScreenshotMode | onrelease shot | onrelease ToggleScreenshotMode (clears all HUD indications, makes a screenshot, and brings back the HUD)

If this explanation wasn't clear, then check : wiki's site or madhookup ... or try a google of 'console command', 'alias' or something like that.
Oh, and here's a site with some good advanced binds.

alas, there is no more boosting in 2k4 AS. No hammer jumping, no rox, shock, goo, sniper boosting or even hammer boost sets. Pretty stupid decision if you ask me, that's what made AS so much fun. And how ****ing hard is it to just plan a map around those tactics instead of taking them awyay and killing the gametype. (I always hope someone from Epic reads these rants of mine about AS)

Hey, no problem. Glad to be able to help people out.
As for those assault tactics. The more advanced moves might be gone, but there are still some level-specific things you can do. I've written some down somewhere, but I doubt it's worth it, since I barely play the gametype.

Eh...killing the gametype? Can you imagine how AS-Convoy would look if it had to prevent people from shield jumping on top of the platform? It would have to use a scale in the form of DM-Hyperblast2 (NOOOOOOOO ...IMO, of course)
