vehicle project mamoth devastor

i started creating a mamoth devastor tank
i added a pic of the tank turet.

these are the fire modes i have in mind
the driver
primairy fire: two goliath shots
secundaire fire: four quick lev missile shots then it must reload or a faster fire of raptor missiles

turret
primairy fire: flamethrower
secundaire fire: minigun

i have one question
how do you import ureal tournament 2004 textures into maya 5.0 learning edition?

nice idea to have a tower with air defense and flame throwers (!). The models already look really nice. Keep posting your progress.

i have modelled a version of the tank.
it will some time before a beta test will come out.

Hmm reminds of the tank from C&C Renegade Mammoth Tanks man they r huge. Well when your ready to release a beta let me know I'm very interested.

Very cool. Just what I had in mind, a rival for the Goliath.

I have some suggestions:

- Because of the giant and destructive nature of the tank, I'd say the vehicle needs 3 passengers.

- Each passenger should operate one cannon. For example, the first passenger gets to use the double tank shell cannon, firing two (slightly weaker, for sake of balance) Goliath shots. Secondary should allow him to zoom, like the Goliath.
The second passenger should control a missile launcher, launching 2-4 fast, explosive and slightly heat-seeking missiles (with a slight reload time, also for sake of balancing) targeting everything. Secondary: Zoom, or an AVRiL-like lock-option to help the missiles hit their target. This should only work on vehicles, not for foot soldiers.
The third one could take control of (maybe dual) miniguns, for long-range firing. About the flamethrower, I'm not sure about that one; this could be controlled by the second or third passenger.
A few other things; how much health do you plan this thing to have? Remember, it's great to have some real power in the game, but balance is also very important. A tank that can't even be beat by two Levi's isn't fun anymore (well not for the opposing team anyways ).
