Finally found a way to enable translocator in Onslaught. Let us know what you think of it.. |

Might be just me, but I won't be playing there because of the translocator. Random node setup too, but that's just an annoyance. Xloc is... worse. Not griping, just giving feedback.

Well..we unfortunately had to remove the translocator mutator. One of the consequences of running it was that our server no longer was regarded as 'standard' by the master server. Since by default UT2004 displays only standard servers in the browser, the majority of players out there ceased seeing our server in their browsers when we ran that mutator. This is why the server's been dead all day today..
We're looking into ways of getting the xloc in without compromising our 'standard' status, at least until we've got a large enough playerbase bookmarking us. |

I wondered why I couldn't find it. Personally the translocator was altering my decision making about going for a vehicle or not, I found that I could get around quickly without a vehicle and the inherent risks of AVRIL induced early death thereby. Twas an early impression though.

I found it mainly useful for getting OUT of the way of vehicles or enemy fire. I loved playing with it..felt like it returned a lot of the freedom to the game that I'd been missing.

It's random in the sense that one of the node configs included with the map is chosen..not in the sense that the game randomly connects the nodes. As many will have noticed, the random node config only comes into play after the 1st round on a map. 1st round is always the default setup.
