Finding rare CDs

Anyone got tips for this? There's a CD I'm looking for from 1996 that I just can't find anywhere - the band's broken up and the only seller's site I've seen it mentioned on has it listed as a Want and not something to be sold. Grr..

I've tried googling 'rare cds' and just going down the list searching for it on each site but no dice.

So - have any of you ever had to track music down? If so, what'd you do and where'd you go?

have a look around town for those second hand CD shops they might have them
(last time i went to one i got 4 promotional CDs for £1) so they are quite cheap

Or Chumbawumba or whatever that tubthumping thing was... If typing in the band name on search engines doesn't work, I just don't know. Thats how I find "out of print" cd's.

I'm not ashamed..just wanted to do the legwork myself as opposed to having one of you do whatever you normally do and find it in 5 seconds. Teach a man to fish..

The CD is titled "Andromeda". I never would've heard their music without iRate (free music downloads!)..it's pushing all sorts of interesting stuff across my plate these days.

Yeah I'd found that - assumed it was out of date as their website no longer exists and they've gone separate ways. Worth a shot though..

I spent quite a bit of time at work today looking for that CD and it surprises me how little information there is on it.
Also the music is quite good from the link you gave.
