Well, there it is. UnrealPlayground.com will open for business on April 15th, 2002.

What IS UnrealPlayground.com?

It's a place for maps. Maps of all types. CTF, DM, AS, whatever.
It's a place for reviews. Constructive criticism for map authors. Read about what makes a map great, or what areas have room for improvement.
It's a place for map authors. Soon to have a repository for mapping information and resources. Share brushes, textures, music files, and more. Also, mappers will be able to maintain the maps they've submitted, by supplying information and/or screenshots of their maps.
It's a place for BETA maps. Submit your maps in progress. Let others provide key information during the design phase of your maps.
It's a community. The StealthDP forums have grown into something beyond what we've imagined. These forums will be moved to UnrealPlayground.com
It's a place to vote. The voting process for the maps that run on StealthDP's Playground has been slightly modified, but it's still here.
And of course, there are the GamePlay statistics, and the IRC chat (which has moved to #UnrealPlayground on irc.enterthegame.com)

Not all of these features will be available immediately. This site is still very much a work in progress.

We just felt we were at a point that we could make it availble to everyone.

What a great way to keep the community going Strong. By offering assistance to mappers and having them share, it is more likely the maps they produce will indeed be of a quality that many will enjoy. A helping idea or aid with a problem, will produce more maps and less of "I though this would work & it doesn't" projects. Good job all
