Those little RC cars can be pretty cool to run.

Funny thing is, it's mostly adult men playing with them. Costly hobby.

1) depends... about 300$ though.

2) depends, there are 2 kinds. Ready to Run (RTR, R2R), and there are kits. kits u need, mostly 4sized screwdrivers, sissors, thread lock(super glue), knife. Gas, Glow Plug starter (i recomend the one that uses a D bat, not the rechargable). Radio + Engine(sometimes dont ocme in non-r2r kits)

3) well id goto ur local hobby store. we have a hobbyworks around here, and they have ones u can buy, and they will help u out on it and stuff. i have a Koshona (or something) and the only reason they worked on it, was because they never saw that one b4. i like HPI (www.HPIracing.com they have some nice ones.

(ill go get my camera and show u mine its onroad)

An awesome one (truck though, not car) is the Traxxas RTR. Even comes with a push-button starter... They have a video on their site.

Damn fAEt...a gas powered porsche? must haul ass

I used to have a few RC cars when I was younger...mostly electric only had one gas....sh1t was fast.....
When I was growing up my house was the 1st one built on our street..so there was always construction going on, houses being built...so we used to take our cars and tear around the houses

lol, on a side note....we took about 10 pieces of plywood form a house once and built the biggest quarter pipe i have ever skated b4

Most gas powered cars/trucks are the way to go.

First decide on what you want and save up to get it right the first time. I have had and still have several R/C cars, and I can tell you as with almost anything, "you get what you pay for". Support UP

Scale sizes 1/10th, 1/8th, & 1/4 are the most popular, and almost all the local Hobby Stores should have all the spare parts, gas, Tires, and accessories needed. If you do not have mechanical skills, get a RTR, or even better buy a used one to be sure you really want to get into that sport.

Tools, like Faet said, but also add allen wrench's and nut drivers, or a small metric/american socket set, and a soldering iron posibly.

The Traxxas T-Maxx 4X4 is one of the best RTR trucks for just playing around. Read the reviews and watch the video here http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr.../trx_tmaxx.htm
Cost about $450 - $550 to get all you need to play.

If you want to step down to the stadium race truck, 2wd, Traxxas has one of those also, very durable products. Here is mine, it is about 6 yrs old and modified but 70% is original, there is always maintenance, and those curbs and trees that rip the "A" arms right off the frame.
