DM-1on1-Finality Beta

Too tight, too low-poly, too ugly, too simple and too small. But a nice experiment anyway
Consider this a pre-release, I am not gonna change anything big anymore.
Any comments suggestions are welcome.

Todo list:
Re-organize the weapons a bit
change the skybox
add a few corona's
add zoneinfo's
get the damned elevator lit (anybody able to help?)
and maybe scale up the sideways a bit, but i promised myself not too

thnx for any feedback i get

Other than the elevator not being lit to stand out, this map is absolutly beutiful. I played 1-on-1 with malcom a dozen times and cant get enough of this map. This is a very fun map to play. And the tree really adds an awesome touch IMO. Im sure some people wont like it cause it can be a distraction but i love it.
Maybe this is just me but.......i rarely see the bots use the elevator or run for the LG.
Anyways, im still playing this map.

no bigger compliment than people playing
They do run for the LG but they like the lower area even more, they have an uber-preference for weapons somehow.
Thnx for the reaction

Some new folks here, welcome guys.

About the map, I had gave it a few ran through and personally I still feel that the corridors, walkways need widening up, hope you'll reconsider these BSP changes as they had a negative impact on gameplay.
Also, my movements are often hinder by those humanoid walllights very often. Since their volume isn't very significant, removing their collision will be good.

Those are the main issues I told him about as well

Looks great - Face to Face fun..."tight as a tiger" - (Goldmember)

About lighting the mover. I might not know the exact right way to fix this, but here's what I do. In the Mover's properties change the bDynamicLightMover to False. Unfortunately it seems too bright at the top position sometimes. Using 'Special Lit' helps IMO. To get the bottom lit you might have to subtract a channel and light underneath. I tried it and it worked, so you can see it lit in the up postion.
(Here's a shot in game and the Mover Properties in Ued)
Hope this helps.
Really fun map

Not bad, not bad at all.

Like DeRailer said, the map is too cramped up, at least for me. Because of that, the bots really kicked my a$$.
The map looks beatiful. Very good contrast between the cold, lower passage ways and the warm, brown color on the higher passageways.
You'll also want to throw in some music. If you want silence, use a blank music file or enter a non existing name to prevent the menu-music to play inside the level.

Hope you scale the width of the higher passageways a bit up, and you'll have a small but great map for good UT2003 fun.

Ha.

Maare laten we niet alleen maar NL gaan praten, das niet zo sociaal tegenover de rest...... Erger je je aan fransen (no offence to fransen) die in hun eige taal praten? Laten wij het dan ook engels houden, of laten we anders een NL thread starten.

Holland is taking over the world!!

Finally got around to playing your map. I don't usually play 1 on 1 because I absolutely suck at them, but the pics looked really interesting.

I really enjoyed your map. I thought the flow was pretty good, although I personally didn't like the delay on the lift. I also liked the little audio cue when someone stepped on the bottom grate. The theme of the map was really cool... contrasting oranges and blues are always good. Some sections were a little dark, although this could have been my machine.

Bots kicked my ass all over the place, so that's good.

I liked it... but I might not be the best judge since I don't play 1 on 1 maps often/at all.
