blur
anyone like this band? I used to love them. still do really. but the new album is pretty flat compared to the parklife days. seems they are trying to be like radiohead instead of blur. their last album was better than this one. pretty disapointed.

Yeah, OK Computer was the last thing resembling mainstream. The Kid A stuff started to go into experimental which was a huge departure from previous work. I have nothing against them experimenting but they shouldn't have released that stuff as Radiohead, but called it another name.
I like Blur. Same thing. A whole album should not be devoted to over extended experimentation. Especially when it is not expected and is inconsistent with previous work. The Jars of Clay CD had a lot of filler on it also.
