ahhh yeh dork, i know that map but forget the name. its rather large and very wide open in the mid. the spot you are in is from dropping down from the upper shieldbelt/vial area and also above the flag (like wayyy above).

is it CTF- ValleyOfTheGiants? (or something like that..) this one looks pretty close for the open mid area

Okay here is another one but this one is more of a 'How did I get here?'. On this awesome map, how did I get on top of this roof without using a Strangelove or being boosted? There are no Grav Boots on this map either.

um thats either Chasm or Saving, and you probably translocated there.

to me to get up there is a sinch

he couldnt get up with x-loc cause he has the flag.

True; he couldn't get up there with the flag using the translocator. So he went down instead.

To get there:
Take the elevator to the top of their sniping tower.
Shoot a translocator puck to the building between the tower and where he is in the screenshot.
Dodge from the tower toward the building, translocating once you're over it, leaving the flag to drop on top where you can pick it up again.
Then it's just a simple piston jump up to that area in the screenshot.

Damn! I wish I'd thought of that, that's a good idea!

However, I get up there without ever touching the ground once I get the flag. I also don't use the sniper tower. I have used this escape many times on the pubs and it alway confused everyone... except for Vinny and Tomolly who know how I do it. Now, who can tell me the way it's done?

You piston off that machine gunner area next to building that ur on top of. Or you went the back way and had to a double piston jump....but I havnt played that map in a long ass time.....
