I'm about to finish the first of the three Divine Comedy. Should I move on to the second? I was also think about reading Ian Banks' the Player of Games.

I started on the Divine Comedy, but RL intervened and I was distracted..then began to start again..then distracted....

From what I've heard, it's worth it to read the entire series. Personally I haven't gotten that far, but I'd say go for it =).

Always good to have some culture behind you. Myself, I haven't read it, but if I had the chance I'd go for it.

Thanks guys. I guess I should go on, it's a very good read. Though I fall asleep everytime I read over 5pages, quite exhausting. I bought the player of games and would definitely goback to DC 2 later.

Dante-- Read them all in highschool-- I'd say it relly depends on the quality of the translation... can be a very taxing read if the text is archaic. There are more modern translations that might read more easily... though the more florid, literal translations impart a flavor that simpler translations do not.

If you're into classics and haven't already read them... must reads include, The Odyssey, Iliad, etc...

Hehe, me not good at reading archaic text at all. Also, I usually read after 23:00 in subway after work, meeting friends...

.."Island In The Sea of Time".. "Against The Tide of Years"..
What are they about?

Yeah, thought about reading these too, but in a reading pattern like - S.F. > Classic > Economics > Philosophy> Art -should be able to make it later next year

Too many good books in the world

Ahh the "Inferno" I wish somebody would make a good modern film based on that book. I picture Johnny Depp as Dante for some reason. Not the guy from "Clerks".
