ONS-Azure

ONS-Azure

Description: A fairly large ONS map set in a glass desert. The bases are set high above the sandy ground, so it is all air-combat, and no ground vehicles.

Story: You wake up, with your eyes still heavy from sleep. You look around, and dazed you wonder if this is Heaven... Well friend, that depends on your definition.

How to use: Place the .ogg file into your Music folder. Place the .ut2 file into your Maps folder.

Info: Just wanted to make an original ONS map. So i whipped this up in a week. I decided to make it 100% air combat because, why not? The theme is something i just pulled out of my buttox to fit the architecture. Overall, i like this map. I was going to have an all-black background, with a black ground and name it ONS-Shadowflare, but nah.

Screenshots: 1- A pretty large view of the map. To the right you see the HUGE middle node, to the middle you see the pretty large "third node", and in the left you can barely see the "second node".
2- A pair of bases.
3- The huge "third node".
4- The blue team's base. Also a huge building.
5- The core inside the blue team's base.

You should convert the buildings to staticmeshes. It will give a big boost in FPS.
Then you need to make block volumes because the vehicles wont land on static meshes...which you can probably do fairly easily by taking the static meshes you made from the buildings and rightclick convert> to brush. Then add in as blocking volume.
Interesting map, thats for sure.

Glass desert? This one would be really cool as a UT3 remake with demolition physyx......um, well, you know what I mean.
