Well Atlantis didn't seem to survive the Hurricane lol... I've been looking all over for any files or discs to no avail.
I've got this crazy dream of doing a sandbox rpg so I've started working in UDK. Along the way I'm trying to learn Scaleform and hoping that inventory and save games get better implementation before I even start to think about tackling them lol
Everything in this image is custom-made and for some reason I am really proud of my ivy patch lol... It comes in at 24 tris and 19 verts I guess is why.

I have been wondering what happened to your ONS Atlantis map.I hope you find the files and can finish it.

Wow guys I've just been going through a load of your screen shots. they're all freaking awesome! Makes me wanna play and map again! I hope some of you have landed some paid jobs doing this stuff! Keep it up!

The sad truth is that map did not translate well to ONS. I really couldn't figure out how to keep navigation in the central city possible w/o constant reference to the radar map. It's way to easy to get lost.
Someone wanted to take it over but I lost all the scene files somehow. I thought for sure I put them on a HD when I left Texas but I must have missed them somehow.

How big is the map file size wise??

With all the lightmaps baked in, it's pretty hefty at about 100 MB iirc.
I uh, went back to AlecM's site last night and downloaded some reference images since getting into normal mapping I'm much more comfortable with multiple UV sets and baking so maybe I'll try again. But I'm not making any promises. I'm totally scattered as it is.

Wow we must have a radio connection. Just last night I seriously fantasized about it. But alas, it would be started over from scratch and I have finally decided to commit to doing some levels in UDK for my portfolio and get my tired ass out of labor and into level design.

I will probably however do a piece here and there whenever I get an inspiration for something because I really want to make this work.

I still have the navigation problem to solve with the central city though. Once you get in there you constantly have to look at your radar map. I personally don't like that but others may feel differently about it.

I had a crazy idea to do a triggered texture on node capture and have scrolling helpers but the trick there is to make sure that makes sense. In the end I may actually wind up putting both bases on opposite sides of the map and just use simple panners showing base indication which would be a good visual aid. But I really wanted to have the bases on adjacent piers and the node link circle the map. Same layout idea as my Cold Fusion map.

If you want an Atlantis fix I can't remember if I linked it before but the texture artist who worked on the series has a great gallery:

That site was all I had to go on as official drawings are nigh impossible to come by although I do remember having tracked down a top view ortho drawing from the studio at some point.

You can tell from the post I still have strong feelings about it but it's on the back burner for now.

You still have a copy??? MY MAN! Yeah that would save a ****-ton of work plus there was somebody who PM'd me a couple years ago wanting to take over the project. I may hand it off at some point and see what he does with it. Then again, I may hoard it lol...

If i have the original zip (it could be on my backup drive) i'll send that back to you - if not, then i'll zip the ut2. I guess if it comes to that i'll have to round up any related packages... is there an easy way to do that?
