Newly Released/Soon to be Released RPGs
OK, list them here:
--For: PC-- Im lookin for new RPGs to get this holiday season, preferebly none of those strategy-like RPGs. Im talking about GOOD ones, ...styled like Final Fantasy, EQ, or morrowind. So far what ive found is, The elder scrolls IV: Oblivion ( release date is 2005, but i dunno when in 2005) Star Wars: Kotor2: ( release date is in december!) And thats it. They can be anything from 2003 to 2005, i dont care, but just as long as they are RPGs! Im on a quest to find a damn good RPG to sink my teeth into, because ive quit EverQuest for a little while now. |

How about a throwback? Darkstone to me was the best RPG I've ever played. The graphics could still be considered good by today's standards as well. I've been thinking about reinstalling for a while now. It's bargain bin item now but it is worth it if you've never played it.

Nothing big on the horizon as far as single palyer CRPG's.
Elder Scrolls IV isn't going to see the light of day for a long time. The PC Version of KOTOR II isn't coming out until january/february. For the Christmas season you have: Vampire: Bloodlines - Developed by Troika using the Half-Life 2 Source engine, this is a first person, action/rpg hybrid. Previews make it sound juicy, but Troika hasn't released a solid game yet, even though they have the pedigree. The studio is made up largely of former Black Isle employees. Guild Wars is kind of a diablo-like game for the PC, but more focused on the multi-player and team-play aspects. It is not pay-per play, and does not feature a persistent world. I tried one mission on the preview event this past weekend and it was fun. As far as near future in PC CRPG land, that's about it. Bleh, eh?

HOT GIRS!!!

Dragon Warrior on the NES was pretty cool. But I think that was made before 2003...
Seriously I love RPGs but the last cool one I played was probably Elder Scrolls III Morrowind.
