Okay, I'm friggin tired of being slapped around by hos with impeccable aim, prescient vision, and seemingly auto-replenishing shield belts and health kegs. Goddamn you all to firey hell, especially when 3 of you are all on the same team and I'm stuck in the middle of you (can we say Elite Arena?).

well... one i have recently made one of my new year's resolutions one of not playing on any ut server much any more (cept for server 3). so most shouldn't see me around much anyway ;)

servers 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, etc etc have way to much crap going on. most of the time there isn't a single other decent player in there, and if there is, it doesn't matter much because everybody else's game brings it down. just not fun. i had already been getting VERY bored with UT, was basically done with it when UT2k3 came out. thought i would start playing that, but it sucks. started playing server 3 awhile ago and it just plain ROCKED. thought maybe i would have fun on the other servers so i had been playing those for the last week.... i was wrong... they still are VERY un-fun. I will still play them a bit probably, but most likely i will only be found on 3.. but frankly, that isn't that much fun anymore :(

well i am working own my own mod for ut2k3. i do like the new editor, so it isn't a waste of a program, just sucks to play right now, fun to edit :)

Yeah. I bought it for the editor whihc is ehere I get most of my fullfillment too. Going to install and start learning Maya here. DL'ed the 3DBuzz video tutrials.

What about the Killer Cow From Outer Space, although have not seen much of Freakish lately, or same for Human or Litter..., also was smacked around pretty good by Destiny(is this a alias for someone else?) a few days ago. Toymaker and Deadlamb have always been that good, going back about two years before here(UP) I can remember having the bought and sold sign on my head whenever playing against them, I would say that Toymaker and TimeXway are the two best players that I have ever seen and play a similiar style, I have always enjoyed playing with or against them even with my insignificance.

Freak is good, but aim is not his specialty. I was just practicing dodge (to side) combos offline, and they are next to impossible (at least with my mouse settings). I can hit maybe 1 out of 12, with NO bots to botther me. Just Fire Dodge Fire. Maybe I'm missing something in the technique, but by the time I dodge, that secondary ball is altready pretty far away and hard to line up again. On the other hand, firing , then simply running one direction or the other to the side then hitting the combo isn't as hard. But freaking dodging?

This guy \o never missed a dodge combo. One after the other. Either he is awesomely coordinated, or he knows something I don't know about how to execute it.

Dodge combos aren't that hard usually, I just pull slightly down and in the opposite direction of the dodge, it's just something you have to get the feel for, you don't really track the ball as much as you anticipate where it'll be. It's easier to jump to the side and hit the combo for me though rather then dodging for some reason, you might want to give that a try, I pretty much hit every one of those. Unless of course you're really lagged, then it's spray and pray. Death from above combo's are the easiest flashy kill to get, you should try those too, you only have to worry about the up/down axis if you just straight down at someone. It looks cooler then it is. :cool:

What Redmag said. There are a lot of good players on the servers, and they're the people who keep me coming back for more. Sure, there are some *******s, but just do what I do. When you're not having fun, leave.

No offense, Doof, but you have a penchant for getting PO'd in game lately. There have been some horrible maps, and some ******* players, but don't let it get you down. Go to a different server, whatever.

on server 3 today, i had a bead on the efc, i think i had shieldbelt, strength, keg, and maybe even invis on cola wars. had that bastard in my sights then all of a sudden.. flying cow... i thought nothing of it since i could take anything you could dish, well at least i could take it long enough to return my flag... oh... but wait... the cow fell over by itself... aww. poor co.... boom :( me die.. you guys cap... my team lose... :(

Hell ya you do. When I thought of UP shock ho's, FB didn't come to mind but after playing with you on S3 last night that changed.

You took me out with several beautiful moving combos. I was just like holy $hit...wtf? Me needs to practice that much more.

yeah.. i consider myself a decent shock ho, but i don't do moving combos much at all. the only time i move with a combo is straight forward or straight backward so i don't have to move my aim ;)

if i feel like trying to move and aim at the same time i usually just use the primary fire and forget the combo.

yeah i would probably hit a few more if i tried them more often. i don't really see a need to use moving combos though. if i am in a dogfight with somebody and they have the upper hand in position or something, i usually dance around with the translocator until i have the better position and then unleash the combo. i do run straight forward shoot a shock ball.. continue to run forward behind it and then hit the combo pretty often. that way i am still moving making myself a little harder to hit while still having a bead on my combo.

i do find myself using primary fire more and more and trying to combo less and less.

Yeah...the problem is that even if I'm already almost out of range and try to xloc further away at some oblique angle, he still miraculously lands a combo on my xloc.

At least his movement is more predictable than other hos. I still can't get him often, but I know his move. With Idol, I never know where the hell he is (falling straight down from above, for all I know).

More I think about it, that sounds near impossible. I would have had to:
1- launch blue ball
2-switch weapons to hammer
3- charge hammer
4- hammer jump
5- swich weapons to shock
6-OVERTAKE the blue ball I had shot (ages ago)
7-combo ball with primary on my way down.

I Don't Think So (makes a good story to tell the grandkids someday though):D

Maybe...youse guys was hurling blue balls at me and I managed to combo one of yours?

not that i like defending toy, but I know i've done that to you and others. you don't need to know where they are, you need to know where they are going...take this scenario for instance...

i was in a fire-fight with someone on Blito3's map he made for the contest where it had to be a drydock. I forget the actual name. i severely wounded my opponent, but they whipped out the xloc and began to run. I thought to myself, where would they go?

well, i knew they couldn't have more than like 30 health, so i thought...they need health.

where is the nearest and most plentiful health source? (this was a good player, so i assumed they would know) well it's the 2 health boxes against the back left wall near us...

so i look at where they are now (xlocing straight up) and then turn to the boxes, and fire a pulse ball....

5 seconds or so later, it gets near the boxes. and guess whose there picking up health? :evil:

I think that all the time when i'm watching some teammates chasing a flag carrier, especially on a map like elite arena. I don't give a crap where you ARE, if i KNOW where you are GOING.

Yeah yeah, I understand the concept. "Cept for me, no one is going to let me stand still for 5 secs while I wait to hit a combo. And when I try to anticipate landing a combo, the player (usually) seems to end up switching directions.out fo range. And when I'm trying to escape, I'm trying to think where the hell I can get away from you (a lot different than engaging in a firefight, where it's easier to guess where a person is going to try to come at you).

Hmmm..maybe I need to just wait longer until firing a ball, instead of guessing too soon.

Yeah, what can I say...regen is fun for a dooficidal maniac like me. A bit easier to get away with in a 5v5 on that map. Actually, surprising how many maps turn halfway decent when teams are half the size. On Elite, for instance, you can't count on 5 shock campers making it near impossible to touch the flag.

OK...I think I saw this freaky cool, nearly unbelievable move from Freakish the damn cow last night in the Bedrooms level now on the rotation.

He's got speed, belt, full health. See him xloc in and get the flag, so I position myself for a combo by the door hoping to do enough damage for somebody to finish the job, since I haven't been able to do much of anything lately. He dodges off the flag ledge down to the bed, jumps up with the boots off the bed, xloc's up to deemer ledge....and I SWEAR I saw him get the flag back before it landed on ground. Lands on ground by the door, I charge up my combo of death...(LOL) and he leaps up again, around the door jamb, but not before hitting me square in the face with the damn deemer, all in about a second in a half. Unbelievable.

BTW, I dished a compliment about it in mid game, but some other cow named MADCOW thought I was talking about him.

One of the best moves ever seen by these eyes Freak.....

I was more proud of pistoning off the flag platform, out around the doorjamb and almost to my own doorway on a different run. :D
