Hey -
It's my first time posting here, and my first UT2003 maps. I thought I'd give some info on the maps and some screenshots, since the screenies didn't show up with upload ;-[

DM-Kael : Started out as a editor test, which then became my own creation of an existing design - 'Gael' . I liked 'Gael' but I thought I'd enjoy a different version. I didn't use the 'Gael' Map and just add to it. I built it from the base up, intentionally copying the structural design. I thought it was fun enough to submit even though it was kinda of a remake.

DM-AmrakPass[DriveBy] : Again, not all my own. I took the Vehicle Demo and turned it to a Deathmath to play on LAN with friends. I kept the terrain and the skybox and added all the meshes,zones and pathing. I thought it came out great for LAN.

Okay. 'nuff said !
I'm ready to try my own design next.

I have play whit DM-Kael. I realy like the lights. I have played 2-2. and it realy rock. They items placement is good. But one thing there no healht? in the map. But it is real fun to play great job.

On thing I would suggest. Fiddling with other people's maps to learn is great... but I wouldn't do a public release of it and put your own name on it... especially if you haven't gotten the original authors permission.

Dabble with the maps, ask people for help, it is all good... just don't take it that extra step and release something that isn't fully yours :)

And what I mean by public release is saying it is done and expect it to be played on servers, ask for reviews of it, etc. Posting as you did for feedback is great though...

I thought the AP(Terrain) map might be an issue. Your probably right, but I thought molding the vehicle demo into a full deathmath was too tempting.
I appreciate the comments.
All maps from scratch for now on.

AmrakPass was okay fun but cars didn't worked (it suggested to use 'use' to enter which doesn't exist in this game or when I tried to step into those 'teleports' next to them it said 'too many cars in use' etc.). Design was okay but sky looked all messed up on my settings (too bad because all other skies work fine for me).

FYI - 'use' is really the 'u' key (same as the vehicle demo)
- when you release a car and try to release again from the same trigger it says "too many cars in use" - It means the car from that one trigger is already out somewhere. There is six car triggers in the map. You can still release another car from another (tele-porter like)trigger.
