used the editor to make the meshes.....very slow process.
about half hour to desighn...have a few problems with 1 have to remesh it from the brush.....
but maybe some water falls.....and Elf Castle on each end...

I would just like to say that is one of the coolest unique screenies ive seen. A better mythical fantasy style than those that i have seen. Almost playful. . .

dude...size the meshes up a ton, add wooden doors and windows, change the color from green to red with white speckles...smurf village!

But really the screen does look very unique .. ala .. custom meshes.. and has me interested.

u can handle that lord......just got a big stint of work lined up....4 more days to go....10 hour days +....plus try to go see Lord of the Rings....yikes.....me so tired...
we are supposed to get snow next week...woohoo...i dont work in the snow...We got snow in the ski hills...so airleas happy.
will be redoing the covered bridge...then start on the castles, I was thinking of a castle intertwined with vine type trees.

Well, after just working 3 dayshifts in a heatwave (40+) i've got 2 weeks holiday (thank ****).
Getting SO sick of the steelworks its driving me insane.
2 weeks off should fix that.
Its been blisteringly hot, but now i'm on holidays, so it can get as hot as it likes....:D
And i'm about to take the kids to the beach for a swim.

bump.....working on ElfLord again....did a upload to the sight for few minutes for a few who were in the chat room. Then deleted.
Its coming along nicely.
remember when the next version comes up...erase the B3Elrpack and blitotrees files...because of the reworked meshes that are allways being modified

about 40 percent done...right now dealing with all the meshes and flow...will deal with skybox and landscape textures last.

ENJOY...doh! not any more....now the fog is in...added some vines cleaned some stuff up
and added a skybox...it will be up for a few hours so dont procrastinate...and give a sounding the map so far and if i am heading in the right direction.

Please blito, include all your static meshes in mylevel package. It gets crowded in the staticmesh folder so I soon don't know which staticmesh packages are retail and which are not. If you already have included the meshes into stand alone packages you can simply rename them into mylevel package. :)

oh i will unicorn...but i am tweaking the meshes...and i find it easier to access those meshes to change them.
so right now they are in B3elfpack and blitotrees

Another thing blito... you need contrast in the map. Now everything just looks like washedout colours. It looks better on the screenies without fog. :)

yep unicorn...the fog washes everything out...but the lighting will be the last thing i do...got a couple of meshes lighting themselves up...damn...but about 50 percent done.

Interesting map blito.
I like the atmosphere very much. It is quite unique. I also think that the ability to jump around on the trees and buildings make it even more fun.
FPS was a bit high in a lot of places. But im sure you will deal with that later.
Looks like you have a lot of lighting work ahead .. but with some cool lighting the map will look even better.
Nice job.. I will keep an eye out for the next version.

thanks webguy....I dont think i can add more eye candy with out having it slow down completely.
have to shuffle some lights around...have to rethink the fog...full load of bots slowed it down....i found one hole....but thats expected...will make the jails in the underground scaled up a bit more, right those are too tight..add some sounds and check for any more problems...but i think the design and flow is solid enough.

I didnt open it in the editor.. but if you have already done the lighting.. it doesnt look like it.
Everything seems to be lit up the same.
Also .. I did find quite a few areas where there were errors.. (damn me.. i didnt take screens).
But for example I got stuck in some of the terrain.. by stairs. And somehow I jumped into a building mesh and was stuck. One of the higher buildings.
Also one of the boosters by the water wheel doesnt work.. the other one does. I just fell into the hole on one of them.
And your right.. I added about 6 bots and fps went to ****.

I've found a couple of trees with collision issues-- where you can fall down into the mesh from atop the tree... I'll try to find them again and shoot a pic.

hmmm maybe if i put the scale up the textures....
well this is what happens u try and make a good lookin map...what a challenge...yeesh.
as for the lighting i have it level lighting...because some of the meshes would be too dark. but i will hunt all the problems down.
