I was spectating him that game. It was basically spamming (standing behind goal, shooting blue balls toward other flag), dodging, comboing EFC, returning flags, tossing weapon and picking up shock again. Nothing special.

The skin he used seemed very hard to hit, the Skaarj one, or whatever its called. Dodges very strangely by rolling on the ground, and its hard to perdict where it will stop rolling. Not to say its cheating or gives an unfair advantage, just observing stuff that's different from other skins and needs getting used to. :D

p.s. Quiz: Has anyone noticed what I do on FIFA when I take the flag? It works well with speed and can get you across really fast, though not as fast as Mikey's trick (bastard :p ).

Nope haven't noticed. I just grab the jump boots and two bounces later I home. Keep sme above most of the spam too. NOw if only my flag was there and waiting for me. LOL

Yeah, true. Nothing special. Especially on that map. To be honest, I don't even really play that hard on FIFA and W00t - just too spammy to get any type of teamwork happening.

And all people do on that map is spam up the middle so that 9 times out of 10 you die once you get anywhere near the RL in front of the flag.

Hey I play that way on that map cuz that map can end quick if you don't keep track of your flag... I pay attention to who has the flag also so Don't try to spoil my tactics... and I'm sure everyone else was tossin their gun on that one to pick up a fresh pack of WhoopAss... But if you are bothered by it then I could go for the flag and get my ass whooped when I see ya on K...

Cal it what you like but many players are ammo hogs and despite living only a few seconds will take all the ammo packs when they grab a weapon. Only way to refill your ammo supply is to toss it and pick it up again. Don't recall the name of the map but I had to do that like twenty times last night. It sucked playing D and trying to conserve on ammo.

Yeah, this is a sure-fire way to identify n00bs and deathmatchers. Folks that have no idea that there are other people on their team. I think most experienced players make an attempt to not take more than 1 ammo pack when they pick up a weapon. Unfortunately, some maps make this difficult to do in a hurry. I almost always grab too many shock cores on Bollwerk because I'm in a hurry and the ammo is hard to avoid.

Heh, avoiding ammo, imagine that. You want to avoid ammo? Load up the volatile ammo mod and you'll *HATE* the stuff! :D

On FIFA, I dodge off those long signs/ads on the floor surrounding the play area. Even witout speed, you go pretty high and get some decent distance, but with speed you can make it across in 2-3 dodge-jumps.

Mikey's trick is pretty sweet, and with speed will get you from flag to flag in one jump, but I don't wanna give away other people's tricks. its a no-brainer, but still, I didn't think of it, so I don't wanna tell the whole world about it.

edit: Just read your reply BDF. I was in no way dissing you, just explaining that you weren't camping like a tool but playing smart, returning flags and killing EFCs while keeping moving and in ammo. Props to ya, no dissing. That playing style is smart and more people should play that way - CTF not deathmatch. :rockon:
