No pun intended, but this thing is the cat's meow! It went directly from the Unreal Playground download to the Dead Cat server at lightspeed.

More fun than a barrel of sex-crazed elves...:D

Hi - thanks hail the goat - glad you didnt get too bogged down in the AI issue. Tounces - this is the BR version as im sure you are aware but just checking? ;) - of course not all together THAT different from the CTF version. speaking of which..

I`ve stuck it in the queue, sorry if it seems greedy but I`d like the ctf to be apraised cos its a blast offline as well as on, the bots play well (mostly), and I tweaked/added some stuff. Dunno who will do it but dont forget to mention the xmas music - it adds one of two things:

.Even more festive ambience
.A headache

Hopefully the former ;)

You're welcome Sharpfish, the map was hella fun to play.

The bots kinda p1ssed me off sometimes, there were many close games and to watch the bots run back to the base was too much.

Sometimes I just get into a game to much and hate to lose.:evil:

no, you are right.. when I first did the AI (bombing Run ai was new to me - I had to load up some other maps to see how) they would always get the ball / fight for the ball well but then - not really push to score - I then added a couple of shoot spots - and DID actually find that the blue team of bots usually won/played better so I would play as RED to `work around` this a little.. still frustrated I realised that AI scripts were needed but wanted to get the CTF version done as people were mailing about it, plus I couldn`t figure them out yet - so anyway - they will shoot but not double jump (as a human would have to for 7 points) but most of the time the red team esp seems to wander a bit. It`s a shame but the map is still good for humans who like BR at XMAS!

Personally I just cant play BR offline and rarely online, offline even epics maps the bots didn`t seem to play as a team so well.. or rather I felt I was their watching them play rather than playing myself (on any br map) - so as I said elsewhere, even though the AI thing is just a temp hitch which I could learn in a night or so I doubt I`ll do a BR map again as I don`t get much fun out of it myself.. though I did enjoy shooting from the sleigh - or jumping onto the jetty (same in ctf) from the sleigh - grab the sheild and score..
BTW there is a little more adrenaline in a central position and a little ammo there too in the ctf version - the adrenaline is plentiful I know but its a large map with a lot of players - speed is going to come in handy if you `miss the last sleigh home` - (and of course booster could help if you are feeling a little low due to someone swiping the KEG) also I find that (as in ctf) get the flag/ball from one side - make it to the sleigh - jump on and crouch to avoid fire and wait ... from a defense point of view this is quite hard to defend against *IF* the person makes it to that sleigh without getting killed - which is kinda why I went easy on the health - I found you have to USE the map to your advantage rather than relying on pickups...

Hope if/when someone reviews the CTF version they take that into account because it only becomes obvious after a lot of playing/practice (maybe toonces knows this now?)
