-we need to organize for practice more than once a week including weekends to meet all members needs.

-we need to assign positions & design squads.

-we need to organize a UT2003 squad; we are currently very UT head strong and need to evolve into 2003. :D

-we need to join a ladder, i think it'll definitely help us all.

-we need MUCH more member feedback and ideas as far as things we can do to improve in any aspect at all and any of the above.

I'll throw in some comments from the game last night:

* Flag carriers need to use their defenders. Don't run by team-members who are protecting you. Let the protectors round corners first. Don't lead your protector. It's hard as hell to provide much protection for the flag carrier, if you are just trying to keep up with him.

* Attack coordination needs a lot of improvement. I feel like we are just throwing ourselves at the flag. Teleport to the enemy base as quickly as possible, then grab the flag, with no teammate coordination. I think that we need to wait on grabbing the flag until we can get a significant presence into the enemy base.

* Personally I felt I had no Discipline at my position. I often said I was taking Defense and then found myself inexplicably rushing to the other side.

* Even though they were toying with us a bit, I thought we played quite well on 433. I felt that's the map we were most well coordinated on.

* Even though we got our A$$ handed to us last night, It was still great practice. They were OBVIOUSLY a group of really talented players, and even after getting severely owned all night, I feel as if I'm a better player for scrimming them. Got o evaluate their tactics, and take away some of the things they did well.

btw... even though I offer to play defense, I feel like I'm a better mid-fielder or striker. When I play D, I feel like a sitting duck, to get owned repeatedly by the 3 enemies in our base.

I can practice almost 7days a week M-F after work (banker hours) and weekends... well the weekend....

We DO need to PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE !

We need to cordinate much better....

we need to practice with eachother, not just other clans....

we need more TN peeps too! Good ones... BTW, congrats Radio66....


here is a tip...

Defense (FLAG, FLAG POST),
Offense (FLAG CAP and FLAG CARRIER DEFENDER)
Middle (DEFEND BASE - EFC and the FLAG CARRIER)

DEFENSE @ FLAG POST: Protect the FLAG and BASE!!!. If the enemy takes our flag... the FLAG POST DEFENDER will try and return the flag without leaving the base!
DEFENSE @ FLAG: Follow EFC all the way
MIDDLE: Defend the base, and follow the EFC
OFFENSE: Capture Flag or catch the EFC when they are out of our base....

Yeah I noticed these things as well, I think we are too used to UP where things are more disorganized and team work is more off the cuff. I too often was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. We really need to practice just [TN] and work on our teamwork. Maybe have our O guys attack our D guys, and work out strategies that way. Not an actual match, just going through some drills on a select few maps so we can coordinate better and learn our strengths and weaknesses. Scrims are fun ( especially NFO! ) but I think we need to take a step back and organize big time. Let's set up a time and hopefully a place where we can practice alone and work this stuff out. Maybe we can find a time on server 3 that is particularly empty, and hopefully no one will be around so we won't get in anyones way? We'd just have to make sure not to grab any relics. ;)

Once we set a time and a place, lets use that private bboard to discuss actual drills to go over, and specific strategies for certain maps.

i agree with Danky and Machine -We do need to practice . Yesterday wasn't too bad -we did lose but i think we did ok (we kicked a little butt here and there) against pro teams - At the end of the matches i started to feel things were gelling teamwise with TN (baptism by fire) we were feeling each other strengths and weakness and began working with them -( i believe i am better at D than O -for instance) BTW i love the idea of practising against each other -that would be cool to develope fighting tactics in secret -also we can switch and try to strengthen our weakness -switch the D and O playing roster around (ie. have me be the runner in a gamming session ) -we can be the best but it will take time, training , and desire -but i know we can do it cause TN is full of talented fighters ---- Ps. i can practise everyday if need be -but i have to sign off at 10 my time -weekdays because i have to get up at 5 in the morning (real life can suck sometimes :p ) but Friday and Saturday night i can hang out as late as you want -YAY !!

I workin on gettin a full blown official server.... but it my take some time, most servers want a couple months in advance (and of course more months u buy = bigger discount)

Yeah we really do need a solid place to practice. I was hesitant about suggesting s3, and only did so with the thought that if anyone showed up, we would leave if they wished us to, or just stop with the drills and play like any other day. ;) But yeah, that's kind of a last resort option, and I don't even know if that would be cool with the admins since I haven't asked, I was just throwing the idea out there. By the way, welcome! You didn't know you made it??? Hehe ULTRA! :tsk:

Server 3 really isn't an option, other than when it's empty. Otherwise people tend to get upset when playing on a public server and having to play against a clan.

Ultra. Count me on the server portion. I'll gladly send you a check for a years worth of server rental.

If you guys need a server, just ask someone if you can borrow theirs for a while.... I'm pretty sure there are a lot of clans out there that have servers just for matches, or public/match servers that are not as popular!!
