with the use of vehicles i think that this mod would be cool
star wars theme
one team empire
one team jedi
everyone is in a starwars craft
i think the deathstar attack would be so cool what is your oppinion?:)
My idea: post less, think more. :p

Not to attack your idea or you, this is just my opinion now people... but "clone" mods are being so overdone now that originality is being lost. So many "realism"/half-life mods are in production for UT2k3, if we wanted to play half-life we would.
Also, star wars mods/games are out of control as well, at least I believe so. There are also a lot of "magical" mods that are all pretty similar with nothing very new thrown in.
Teamfortress has been done to death.
So many things have been done to death. Though I dont' really like BR as of yet, it is nice to see a fairly unique (kind of ripped from Frag Ball from UT though) mod be released officially. If I ever do get off my butt I will be trying to make that Elemental mod which I believe is VERY original... but then again, everything has probably been done before right?

Zencoder's jetfighter scripts would be good enough. Check out his homepage and his maps here at the PG, if you haven't already.
So all you have to do is build the deathstar map!
You literally could have a rebel base, where people spawn and fly to the deathstar, (using jetfighters) and a hangar on the deathstar where the other team spawns. Using Zen's Jet mod, you replace a weapon with jetfighters, then players pick it up and fly away. The fighters have missiles (which he's made into homers recently) and an eject button (alternate fire). But you would know all this and more if you read his homepage....
Just don't put a flag at the end of a long trough! :)

Hmmm...I have an idea for another game type (with an objective such as the Star Wars 'destroy Death Star"):
Basically, it would be a mission based "Last Object Standing". Each team starts off with a series of objects to defend, and an opponent's series of objects to destroy. Objects would start off with a certain "health" and have varying degrees of sturdiness against different weapons. Teams would have to make choices on allocating their personnel: how many players to defend each object at any given time, and how many to send to attack. Team with the last object standing wins (or most objects left at the end of a time period).
Variant: objects could be reconstructed over time, so strategy would include keeping a destroyed object from being entirely rebuilt.
Sort of a FPS with a real-time strategy goal.
Another game type:
Capture the FlagS. Each team would have a number of flags (say 3-5) to defend. The goal is to capture all of your opponents flags before they can capture all of yours.
When a flag is captured, it remains at the capturers base (in a 'captured flag stand').
Possible variant: until it is captured, players can carry their own flags (with the resultant glow). This would mean flags would be moving targets, and not necessarily found in the same place. Once captured a flag is dead for the remainder of that game.

Another variant to the last object standing would be kinda like Assault, with one team defending, and the other attacking. Same variant for the CTFlags.

I know that a mod extremely similar to the Capture the FlagS idea is already in the works. Now if I could just find it or remember the name...
