Can you say Quake III

I just got through playing the UT2K3 demo...uhh this is identical in most ways to Quake III. In fact I jumped onto a Quake III server just to make sure, and sure enough.... Shock rifle rocks!!

The reason I didn't like Quake3 to begin with was the cartoony feel to it. In classic UT, the weapons, characters and maps all had a semi-real look and feel to them which is why that game was so appealing to older peeps like me IMHO. UT2 is cartoony, just like Quake 3, gone are the real feeling weapons and characters ect. The maps look like a setting from a Care Bears cartoon! Anyway, that is just my initial impression and I can say that I am disappointed. Unless I see major improvements in the final game... CLASSIC UT FOREVER!!! :camper:

I have to agree the first time the game started it felt like i was playing inside a comic book. Just does not have the feel of UT.

Past 2 weeks
Played UT - 3 games = 1 hour "maybe"
Played BF1942 - 302146192834 games = whole lotta hours

I downloaded the game and in hi hopes of something great.....installed it , patched it,,,,played it>>>>>>deleted it....
Logged into UM and had a blast!!!!

UT2003 has along way to come before I even try to get "good" at it.:strangelo

It'll prolly get deleted, I'm guessing, because I didn't see a single post on those forums that said 'Quake' on them. Anyway if it does get deleted it's basically the same statement I made above.
