Mappers or modmakers!!

OKies, I got's an idea or two for a map or just a mod to a map.. How many times have you seen those little cars sittin in the corners of Burgerwars 4 and wondered "Man, it'd be mega kewl if I could drive that baby around and shoot things!" OK, so mebbe I'm the only one that'll admit it.. There are several other levels that have some pretty suhweet lookin rides in them as well.. Sure would be nice to be able to drive them.. Once that's done, we could look at mebbe larger trucks so you could haul your whole team over to the enemy encampment and get things goin that way.. I'm thinkin one of them duece and a halfs with a machine gun over the cab would be wacked.. http://www.3dcafe.com has a wealth of 3D models that could be used in thier free section.. The only sad thing is, we haven't seen anything from Ghandi in a week or so now.. I think Mrs. G finally moved in and is fattenin him up..

Anyone else up to the challenge?? Or is this already a mod somewhere?? If it is, take a hit off my MCB and fugeddaboudit.. hehe

Sweet idea BamBam! I thought the same thing when I first saw those cars. They could leave a little smoke trail like in the opening UT sequence!

The Duce idea is kinda sweet too. The gun idea wouldn't hurt anything as longs as it doesn't get as disgusting as the FighterJets(:x). Imagine the carnage if you could pilot a SL into the back of one of those babies filled with the entire other team!?!

the car should have health points though. If it is indestructible, to hell with it then. If it is destrutible, then should allow respawn, or maybe not.

The car could be like a strangelove...drive it through the front door of the burger king (mcdonalds) like some crazed madman (or pilot it in and jump ship just prior to impact..run in and get the flag and drive another car back). Like the strangelove, you'd have to pick up someone to ride shotgun (so to speak) if you want to have a shooter.

Unlike the SL, the Sky-Car could be made so that you can accelerate and decelerate using the right and left mouse buttons. If it has that functionality I don't think someone should be able to just swoop in a pick up the flag like the SL...

Using the brake you could come to a full stop. To get in and out you could use the jump button. The car could then remain idle until you or someone else jumps in the driver seat. That way you could fly the car to the enemy base, park in a descrete location, get the flag, run back to your car and go. You could also pick up your flag carrier to give him a quick ride back to base, or turn the enemy flag carrier into road kill :twisted: , or crash into an annoying n00b sniper :twisted:, or slam your car at high speed into the enemy base and watch the pretty explosion :twisted:... Damn, all I want fo X-mas is a Sky-Car!!! :twisted:

Sounds like the way the vehicles in renegade work. Be laggy, hit "use" several times, get in and out several times while some n00b drives off in the tank you just spent $800 on. :D

Hey everybody...

Running of the SL idea, the car could have a passenger seat (or several) and be able to have the passengers shoot like on the SL. Also, maybe it could be like a 2 seater (one driver, one passenger) and a "third" seat that is a gun built into the car (like the WartHog for those Halo Players out there)! This could be complicated (sorry Zencoder!), but it could be really cool.
