Hey all, new to this forum, I released this map on BeyondUnreal and someone recommended I sign up here and release it here, so here it is.

CTF-GalacticW00t features flying saucers as team bases, with each team's flag planted in the center of their flying saucer. Furthermore each flag is protected by a rotating ring which yaws, pitches, and rolls all around the flag, and does a small amount of damage to any player who touches it. Nabbing the flag while avoiding the ring thus takes some a certain degree of skill.

Now die!

Old fashioned welcome here at UP. :)

I've ran around your map, nice little saucers. Also the arrows are refreshing.
I'm not sure if you have released this map or not, but the jump pads need to have SwJump Pads (http://www.extremew00t.com/jumppad_tutorial.htm)So you won't yoyo back, and fourth. Also the bots will behave better.
If it has been released. It's a cool little map that I'm sure most wOOt lovers will like.

 :w00t:

Yeah I looked into the swJumpPad thing but couldn't find a download link that worked, plus I'm not sure it would even work since the players jump through zones of different gravities when making the jump. Since the swJumpPad calculates the trajectory based on the angle you give it I don't know if it would take into account the change in gravity part way through the jump I think the player would just end up flying way too far.

But yeah the bot thing is hillarious they always try to use the pads but just shoot straight up into the air.

I've released it as "beta 1" so I could always update it.

PM Sent to John to check out the link ... but I think if you download either w00t pack (e.g. from my mirror (http://www.stevegiller.co.uk/wootdownloads/extremew00tvol1.zip)) swJumpPads should be in there.

Sorry for the bad link. It's fixed now. As far as the zone thing. It will work all of that out for you. It shoots you from one actor to another, like a teleporter does except your awake for the trip.:) It is very simple to use. Check it out Here (http://www.extremew00t.com/jumppad_tutorial.htm)
