As a total Nubee to modding what is the best book I can purchase to start modding in UT3.

Thanks in advance.

"How to write an awesome mod of awesomeness" by Angel_Mapper - unfortunately she's not written it yet ...

Seriously, though, internet tutorials and the UDN, asking plenty of questions here and on other Unreal-focussed forums and reading existing code - both in UT3 and others' mods - that's the way forward.

Isn't Hourences latest book a UT3 guide? (Sorry, I'm no help) Yes, UDN and AngelMapper.com is a good starting point. I know ArcadiaVicennes has done some good online tuts. ( and I know there's others I should be recalling atm, but I'm lacking teh :coffee: )

You may be right there - is the hard copy released yet, or is everything online?

There is a book by 3dbuzz if you insist in reading a book rather then learning from the various sources out there.

Amazon.com: Mastering Unreal Technology, Volume I: Introduction to Level Design with Unreal Engine 3: Jason Busby, Zak Parrish, Jeff Wilson: Books

Keep an eye on this. It hasn't been published yet but judging by their UT2004 book, it will be great too.

Can anyone direct me to any movie tuts for UT3?
Since folks feel it the way I should go, I'll follow the forums advice.
I know its not going to be easy, but I definitely want to learn.

www.3DBuzz.com is always good for video tutorials. I can find some on youtube too, but the quality isn't as good on there.
