Stars in the moon. *cough*
lol, oh well - hopefully no-one will have time to stop and notice. ;)
I've added a beta download :

A few more routes than in the screens above, have fun!

Too high poly - it'd have to be a blue oblong lol.
I even lowered the texture/polycount on the buildings around the edge to ensure it kept sub 350 polys in view.
If you cheat and fly you can get > 1k polys, but in gerneral play, there should only be the odd spike where it's ~300 + polygons in view.
Hopefully it'll play okay on older machines.

Plays great on mine - but mine's not exactly old ... yet!
I've not had time to start getting into it - adding routes through aircontrol for example - but I enjoyed getting blasted off the edge to teleport back onto a w00tpad! Nice touch!
I found the superhealths and 'deemers although I wonder if one of each would do - not that I'll often play this with "normal" weapons!
Wasn't too sure about "splashing" to my death - seemed a bit out of place - and if you have the Superhealth (or even 100) it's nowhere near the instant death I'm used to in w00t.
I'll try and be a bit more constructive during the week ...

Evidently not enough, cause I missed this?? Hmmm!
Just don't seem to have enough time in a day anymore? ....O-well
Looks good J6, Maybe I'll have time to check it out. :serious:

Looks like I missed it too.
The invisible water death is pretty weird. If you really want to use a water zone, you know you can remove the entry fx and sfx and tweak the physics so that you don't suddenly stop.
I like the out-of-bounds teleport, but I think it could potentially be exploited on flag runs.
Also, the redeemers are sunk into geometry.
Other than that, pretty interesting. I'm glad you're still working on w00t for '99

Looks wootremendous, ... cat. :DIt is - and lots of fun.

I'll do my best for tonight, but I'm having "growing-up" issues with my eldest, and we need to get them sorted before the end of the day ...

Hehe, the map was made last may/june so I was ahead of the wave. ;)
Took a break from eyeballing numbers in the bulldog code and decided to fix the stars that could be seen through the moon on this one - and when making a masked shape to stick behind it to blend into the backdrop, I couldn't help but notice the shape of Dorko's avatar being a perfect fit. :D

So far, looks good to me, maybe a bit brutal on missing the pads though. Found quite a nice path to take, but one mistake and squish. Perhaps there may be a way to reduce the amount of damage taken on impact (since changing paths mid way is almost certain d00m)?

I would have responded sooner, but you made me go and put my proper colors back on. (Getting transparency in PNG graphics working correctly is a pain. )

I know this is an old thread now, but I've played this map a bit more and thought I'ld let you know, that I have realised that there are many good grab, jump, die, pickup routes that make this map a lot fun! :D
And thus, would like to withdraw my previous comments about this map. :)

It wasn't up there the last time I was on. Been playing offline a bit more recently, easier for my current machine to cope with. I'm already having fun with this map, the finished product is likely to be awesome! :w00t:
