MODS: Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere. I honestly searched for about 30 minutes, and found some close matches but nothing that answered my question.
MY PROBLEM: I am having trouble publishing my maps.
I am running Vista, which has a totally different user document folder structure. There is no 'My Documents' folder anymore. And from my research on how cooking/publishing works, I know that it is looking for a specific path by default (something like My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\CustomMaps).
So when UnrealEd goes to publish out, it always returns the error message:
"Error, Error saving '..\UTGame\Published\CookedPC\\CustomMaps\DM-GameplayTest01.ut3'"
...then freezes up.
I tried to go in and create a fake set of folders to mimic the path that UnrealEd is trying to find, but Vista doesn't allow users to do that (as far as I can find).
Is there some way you can specify a different publish path on UnrealEd?
Or possibly someone else has come up with a different solution? I can't imagine someone else hasn't experienced this yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Hank
