ive downloaded a few custom maps for UT3 so far, but most of them dont have music and im tired of it.
so ill tell yall how to add music!
First go into the generic browser
and choose UTMapMusic as the type to find
open the "A_music_arrangments" package and select a track you want*
open the world properties
go to the mymapinfo section and hit the new button(if there isnt one there already)
find the mapmusicinfo section in the options and hit use selection.
yippee! music!
*i dont know how to preview music so just set it to something and test it out in game.
if i got anything wrong on this please tell me; im not that good at explaining things :p
has this helped anyone? :angst:

mostly, you have to understand that reasonable people are being wanked by the music industry, so if you want music in your level, embed it in the sounds.
there is no more music folder

i don't think you can improve perfection.
thank you -will-

erm what?
the music is stored in packages now, not folders.
to use custom music you need a few sound files and make a utmapmusic thing.
done!
and i was talking about using the default music btw

there is a "how to" sticky thread that has been here for a while
Adding the Music
1. Load the A_Music_Arrangements package found at "Unreal Tournament 3UTGameCookedPCSoundsA_Music_Arrangements.upk" . Each music arrangement object looks like a bubble texture.
2. Select the desired music arrangement for your map from the Tracks group. You can preview the music by playing the USound actors in the appropriate A_Music_* packages that will also load.
3. Go to the View menu and choose World Properties.
4. In the WorldInfo group, there should be a "UTMapInfo" or a "UTOnslaughtMapInfo" in the MyMapInfo array, this is usually automatically added when you save your map as a DM, WAR, etc. If not, add an item by clicking on the "v" button (small blue down arrow) and choose the Info type.
5. Open the MyMapInfo.UTMapInfo or UTOnslaughtMapInfo group, add the desired music arrangement object from the A_Music_Arrangements package to the "MapMusicInfo" property.

but those are music scores that come with the game. what about music people compose them selves or heavy metal tracks people like in their dm levels?
