I was glad to hear that StealthDp #2 is going to implement map vote. For a lot of us (and apparently most of us in Texas) we've got to play on playground #2 in order to get a reasonable ping and participating in MapVote will keep us from bithcing at Mikey on his map choices. :hammer:
I do have an idea that might work and serve as an alternative to MapVote on #2. My idea is to have Mikey and the leaders assign a regular or "U.P. celeb" to come up with the map package we use week to week. Each week a different player (or maybe a clan) would be awarded the oppurtunity to submit their dream rotation of twenty maps.
The maps would have to be Ok'd by Freakish , Horton or whoever just to make sure they are up to some standards of decency. Players would be encouraged (or maybe required) to have some level of variety within their pack [no 20 frag-fest boards or 20 mouseman/bathroom style boards], [at least one map from the original game] and so on.
I think it would be fun to discuss each players' favorites weekly after playing them. It might become competitive to see who can get the most props from his peers on his clever choices for putting together a rotation.
Another big advantage is that then we'd all know exactly who to blame when we don't like the map. - "How in the hell did you pick THIS map Doofus ?!?!, what were you thinking?" :spank:
Just an idea. What do you think?
See you in the Playground,
