After a 6 month break, the map pack is back on track and is more packed with features than ever, in addition to over 10 new maps , it will also feature a brand new mutator/weapon mod.

Sabby , as a note , i think you can move the "How to use New Pathable Kicker from Switch" thread to here now ;) ( the fall damage handler thread too , it could be helpfull for someone )

Is the pack limited to your new maps? My guitar map could be done in a weekend and i was just reluctantly holding on to it. It handles more than your player load but could play with less. Anyway..just thought i'd ask if you were interested in including it or not.

i got an interesting idea involving warp zones and kickers, might be fun, but no falling to death with it unless you land on a platform after missing the boost of course.

Feel free to PM what you're working on , and I'll take a look. As long as it's of the same or better quality that the original maps, I'd be interested in adding it to the pack.
It should go without saying that it shouldn't be something previously release nor be already out in beta form - we have private forums for development of the pack and are keeping tight lipped on the content of the pack.
So for anyone interested , please PM me with some screenshots or preferably a download of the map, and do so early, so we have plenty of time to playtest/tweak over the next month or so.

I highly doubt it's like any other map (layout wise). I'm not sure of the general location but since it is a dual platform map, probably something in space, or high altitude around a planet.
I'm roughly done the layout, kinda toying around with textures but I have a basic bunch set up, which reminds me to ask, I'm not up-to-date on UT99 texture packs, would you happen to know any that are based around a kinda "High-Tech/Metallic/Outer-spacey" kinda look?
Also, when it gets to that stage, I can give you a BETA version to test out if you wish. Then you can test the quality for your self and suggest improvements. ;)
I think it will be BETA ready by the end of next week.
Also, while I'm here, what is the command to see the poly's per view?

SGTech, SCTech (custom - already on server) , RichRig (custom- already on server) and StarShip are nice sets to mix up together.

I'm doing a map and I will include some kickers. Is there something in these packs that are a must in order for my map to be good enough? Secondly, is it good to use custom textures? If it is, where can I find good lists of them with a picture of course. I'm doing a space map. I read through the standards of woot maps. I think my map would be abit bigger and include some bunker like places, but the flag place is on quite open ground and I intend to do a road which takes the player fast to enemy's flag. (The road can be used with jump boots)
So I'm hoping I could still add the word w00t in it. I was thinking of CTF-StarW00ts :D
When my map is more ready I could post a screenshot here.

Well at this point it's still a bit early. I haven't even finished the first base, but it's almost done. At least I know what there is missing. I can give you a link to the map soon but it's quite early.

Yes, but not necessary - you can simply set bPainZone and bDestructive to True , and set DamagePerSecond to higher than 0.

Yes, it makes it even faster, also it is unlikely to get any caps if you have to 'go to enemy base/get flag/get back to base'
Now its 'get flag/get back'
But you can also call it 'Ultimate spam map'
