Little advice to you all that do whine about botting. How about you try and practice your aim. Yeah....practice.

If people are noobs (it is a demo server, and the demo is for people to learn more about the game) then what makes you think that they'll invest enough time or have enough understanding to find the forums? To date the only people from the Catalyst community who frequent the server are either regular players (and only the most active portion at that) or people who have had problems, such as yourself. Or people who are trying to cause trouble, but that's another story.

If a noob accuses you of botting just take it as a compliment & smile, then shoot them in the head! :moon: :evil:

idd. i get people calling me a cheat almost every time I play a public server. I just find it realy funny :P it's only when I get banned for it that I get a little plissed off :P but I dont care much for public servers anyway.

Ya I know. It just get's really old hearing the same thing day in and day out. This guy is botting blah blah. Sometimes it's just good for me to get things out in a better way then responding to them on the server. I just wanted to have it on record :). I do take it as a compliment and it's quite nice to be on with my aim. I just hate it when my fingers and hands are being uncooperative and not doing what my mind is telling them to do. That's when I have my bad games. Oh well, I still enjoy fragging it up. Thanks to whoever is keeping this server going.

P.S. Looks like the server is down currently at 6am PST. Maintenance?

Hahah yeah I get realy realy angry with ut when I have bad days! I cant stand it! And now me and the rest of my clan are prem divison players it's hard trying to keep that standard of play up day in day out! because when I get bad days I realy get bad days and cant hit a damn thing! I think ut has gone beyond just the fun factor for me now :S shame this server is so far away from me or I would join in :) but im a total NW n00b now as I have played insta for so long :blah:

Yeah, I have usually maintained a decent level of aim unless I'm just so tired from work that I'm seeing crosseyed and I just can't hit ****. Since I work an odd shift I usually go on the server and am playing against the bots most of the time so I just work on my aiming and practice dodging with shock combos, effective fast movement through the maps using jumps, shield jumps, trans. It's alot of fun :) I love how this game moves.

When UT 2007 comes out, its going back to UT 99 speed/movement . Therefore, the "hitscan" weapons are nerfed in power, and the "spam" weapons are upgraded in ROF and Damage per hit, and some will have lockdown ^_^

Dedicated hitscan players are going to be in for a world of hurt in the 1st quarter of 2007. :0 I got my info from the official UT 2007 forums before they changed URLs. I would post a link, but I believe a majority of forums prohibit users from doing that, so I'll just stay out of that one.

Most of the complaints I here about Gouda have nothing to do with botting.

Last night a couple of individuals were observing that he likes to bump his teammates off of shield power-ups.

They had a few choice names for that kind of teamwork, too.

NVM. Well it is expected considering its a public demo server, and well just brush it off. Yes, it does get annoying, and I understand that the UT 2K4 community is dying off slowly so the lack of good available servers to play at is very limited---however, just settle the accusation with a simple "OMGWTFNOOBGETSOMESKILLZ!," as well as telling them to stop eating their morning wheaties, and get l33t. lol jk
