I am completely happy to have found a high-powered but quality PSU. It's expensive($170 US) but probably worth every penny. It's a 700W 4-rail supply, and if you look at the voltage differences between idle and load, the voltage almost does not vary at all!
Also sweet connectors, support forums and all sorts of other goodies come along with it.

I have no connection with this PSU, it just makes me happy so see a quality, high-end product.

What are you running, a quad workstation? 10 HDs?

I thought my dual rail 500 Watt sli/SATA/RAID compatible PSU was overkill... lol

I'm running bare minimum right now(ATI 9700 Pro), but that PSU is the first thing I'll get when I finally get a job and am able to start paying off bills...

You can never have overkill on your PSU. His 700W PSU will be usable years down the road, when processors and video cards have even more obscene power requirements. Right now, 500W is pretty close to the lower limit on PSU wattage if you want to run some fancy SLI setup.

I'm running a 430w...It's probably a good thing that my video card isn't working hard when my 10K RPM hard drive starts up...

My next computer will be a "down the road" setup, with a dual-PCIe motherboard so I can buy an extra vid card when the time comes. I've got a plan! :D Now I need the funds.
