BloodAura

Adds 150 armour points wich reduce damage by 50%, the damage inflicted is redirected to the attacker until his health is below 50.

Creates a fake double for a period of time.

Ethereal

The player becomes a mere ghost appearence and shifts through people with ease without damage, in contrary to the projectiles, wich do pas through with ease, but damaging the victims soul directly, armour is not an issue for the ethereal. Aside from that the ethereal one is soundless, as if non-existent.
Untill the power-up wears off anyways.

Replaces Jumpbooths

Speed, firerate, agility is increased for a set ammount of time.
This Item drops on death.

UPDamp
Replaces damage amplifier

Works in a similar manner to the damage amp, only damage increases exponentially with each kill. Initial starting damage multiplier would 1.35, and formula for the damage would be 1.35 + (n^1.5)/8, where n is the number of kills since the aquisition of the power up. At 5 kills you've got a 2.7 damagemultiplier, at ten kills that's 5.3.

Scourge

Cumulative damage amplifier. This weakens the defence of the victim of this powerup, and the effect is built up. Weakening effect depends on damage of the weapon used, and this effect applies to the shots of all players, regardless of whether or not they posess the powerup. Weakening effect formula= (damage of shot*1.15) divided by roughly 100, so . This will need to be tweaked to stop someone with a mini mowing down millions, or someone with an RL unable to weaken someone. NB. The weakening effect lasts until the next death, it is intended to make the opposition fragile.

I understand we are playing Unreal Tournament here but 5 is just too much, people tend to take out normal Vials out of the game because they are way too cheap and give too much health - sad game play. so imagine what kind of play it will be with +5 off each healthvial.

you know people will want to play this mod with UT's default and/or other costom maps and spots with health vials will be just too cheap!

I think no more than 2....but I like the whle Necris vamp pickup theory....work for your health...

Yup, thought up during a conversation between me and Swanky.

And coz of the timelimitations the player will be forced to be more active, interesting for lastmanstanging.

Maybe, to make the amp a little more interesting, make it slightly amp damage done to the user. This will encourage people to take out the person with the amp because it will be that little bit easier. Im not saying double damage to the user, but maybe 1.25 or 1.1...

Any thoughts?

Wel, the UPDamp is now a droppable item, so grabbing it is like instant populairy :) , But it needs somekind of necriscounterpart and my mind has been blank some how :/.

That sounds awesome.
I think it should still have the glow that he original amp has.

A Necris counterpart? How about something to replace invisability?

It makes you "ghost like" and makes all of your ambient / shooting sounds completely slient. And maybe a particle system to follow you so that you have a mysticla aura around you.
Also all projectiles/smoke shot from you are translucent so they are harder to dodge and tell where they are coming from.
The HUD of the person with the powerup could have everything translucent red filter (like normally when you get hit) and change FOV to ~130 to give the look that you are fighting from "the other side".

Ghost, I luv that idea! It sounds very Necris too. So, you become a mere shimmer, like you're projectiles and completely silent. Really cool FOV Idea too.
In addition, how about makin all the projectiles railgun like when you're a ghost? They're transulcent and I assume without actual matter too. And you can go through people too, it doesn't really afect them, but it suits the idea IMO.

Well, Tar, it's your idea, so what shll the pick-up od DEWM be named?

EDIT, Yeah, clasic glow remains, the new UPDamp is actually just made to look more fitting for the glow :)

lol we ARE being easy. the fact is we need ORIGINAL content. dont get me wrong, WH40k would make the best total conversion mod, but this is not that mod.

and for the weapon i am designing i AINT taking designs from google [but it really is about to be a really neat gun][also designing a enforcer replacement]

Yeh, we definately gotta change the shieldbelt...i mean, who uses a belt?

How about a shield pack for humans and a retaliation field for necris? (Shield works almost identically to the shieldbelt whereas retaliation field protects 50% of the damage done to the user and directs the protected damage back to the attacker? maybe set the limit to the retal at 50 points damage for balances sake...)

The UDamp and healthvail are scripted, also, then new UPDamp can now enjoy the new sounds made by Tarnation, really nice work there, it sounded really heavy aand made it just a bit more brutal tahn usual.
And serious, the UPDamp is uberbrutal, exponential damageincrease is da win :rockon:

I have a feeling it's the purple ones. they are the only ones rendered in UT.

Although I think sticking to blue might be best. In UT blue has always been associated with health, purple is for the damage amp.

But maybe it's time for a change of pace?
