This is a new forum for relaxing after a game, and reflecting on your in game antics, experiences etc.
Chat with the guys\gals you just blew to bits, or gloat about the 6 flag captures in a row.

Yeah, Freakish definitely had his freak on, but Mikey helped balance it. =) I thought the game of ((frequency)) was the best of the lot; the 2-point capping sprees made it pretty thrilling, and the small server population definitely helped -- it was fun to be able to dodge around a pillar or something without someone waiting on the other side. GGs Hortcow, Mikey, Infide, Zinia, Kindness, Freakish, and anyone I forgot. Next time, I'm shooting demos. =)

A lot of people in this country pooh-pooh Australian table wines. This is a pity, as many fine Australian wines appeal not only to the Australian palette, but also to the cognoscenti of Great Britain.
'Black Stump Bordeaux' is rightly praised as a peppermint flavoured Burgundy, whilst a good 'Sydney Syrup' can rank with any of the world's best sugary wines.
'Chateau Bleu', too, has won many prizes; not least for its taste, and its lingering afterburn.
'Old Smokey, 1968' has been compared favourably to a Welsh claret, whilst the Australian wino society thouroughly recommends a 1970 'Coq du Rod Laver', which, believe me, has a kick on it like a mule: 8 bottles of this, and you're really finished -- at the opening of the Sydney Bridge Club, they were fishing them out of the main sewers every half an hour.
Of the sparkling wines, the most famous is 'Perth Pink'. This is a bottle with a message in, and the message is BEWARE!. This is not a wine for drinking -- this is a wine for laying down and avoiding.
Another good fighting wine is 'Melbourne Old-and-Yellow', which is particularly heavy, and should be used only for hand-to-hand combat.
Quite the reverse is true of 'Chateau Chunder', which is an Appelachian controle, specially grown for those keen on regurgitation -- a fine wine which really opens up the sluices at both ends.
Real emetic fans will also go for a 'Hobart Muddy', and a prize winning 'Cuiver Reserve Chateau Bottled Nuit San Wogga Wogga', which has a bouquet like an aborigine's armpit.

I've been seeing a lot of stupid play in B3cagematch lately. A member of my team has parked themselves in the cage button room and constantly holds the cage down for the enemy. I know this is the case because nobody has the flag on our team, yet these players keep hitting the button and keep lowering the cage while only the enemy team can gain from it. Is this stupidity or is somebody stacking the deck? Has anybody else seen this?

I know. It just can't understand what the problem is. It really p!sses me off. I have lots of fun on that map because it adds a new level of strategy and timing, but when you have some moron on your team constantly dropping the cage, with no apparent reason, the whole thing goes to hell.

There recruiting loads of people at the mo, and some of them
..........ooohhhhhh.....
Example:
2 hirings not too long ago....
A male, 19, worked in a fish plant
A female, 38, worked in a fish and chip shop.
No experience with the steel industry at all....
Surprisingly, the Male is useless, and the female works harder than a lot of the men....

Spargo, most of the women I know are very hard workers. They take their jobs very seriously and unfortunately dwell on job related issues long after the work day is done.
Also, look at the ages of those two workers. It might be an age thing more than it is based on gender. I'm not saying teenagers are lazy but sometimes it takes a few years to develop solid work skills.

Nice camping today in Towne by Borniculla. Just hung around shield belt and armor and camped the rocket launcher. Then he complained when I killed him, "I wanted to go GOD". Boo hoo. Nice camping Tex.
And Lack of Skillz should change his name to Lack of Brains. In Enemy Contention today he had the flag and kept running back and forth in front of our flag but would NOT cap it. Wow, was I steamed.

Yes timing is everything with the relic throw. I have more of a problem with some bozo from my own team stealing it from the FC. If enemies are close by I do some killin first then give relics. Most of the regs got the relic thing down.

Ah, relic fumbling.... I remember this one time I tried to pass my FC speed ( I think it was dv... er vanessa maybe... can't remember ) and we took so long because we accidentally messed up the swap that someone came along and blew our a$$es up with a wad of rockets. We were completely safe when we started the trade, someone just snuck up on us during our fiddling. I do it ALL the time. I'm starting to be a bit more cautious and precise. Sometimes ther FC is running around to much and they keep missing where I throw it. Often, we just end up dead and giving both our relix to the other team. Aaaargh.

Yeah, they kicked our butts. They kept spamming the shock rifle outside our base not letting anyone pick it up, and basically dominated the middle (OhBoy was in control there mostly, from what I could tell). Their first 3 or 4 runs were through the electrical outlet route, so I started protecting against that (and then they decided to take everything straight through the middle).
I've played that map only a handful of times, and the bases are not symmetrical, so I need to go practice it a bit before I'll be any use there.
Blackshado
09-24-2002, 12:43 PM
Yeah, the blue base is ALOT better than red in that map. I've played both (red last night) and having the SR right at the map, a flat surface big enough to defend from and a spam spot comboing from the bed to the flag makes defense so much easier for them.
By the way, thanx for the cover last night on that one Doof, some nice timing on my (unsuccessful) flag runs.
And another thing to remember, as far as I've seen, its much easier to get to your flag (i.e. cap) in blue base than red once you've passed through the door. The skateboard is hidden from spam from outside, while the ramp in red is wide open. I never did figure out where the lift was to get to the red flag . . .
Anyway, last night had the best games I've ever played in UT in years. The best was probably Elite Arena. God that was crazy.

09-24-2002, 05:18 PM
Yeah that was a tuff match in roomates lastnight! I swear doofus, it wasn't my intention to camp the shock rifle. :D It's just that I couldn't find one near my base, and everytime I went for the one near your base I got spammed, so I started trying to clear the area first before moving on... but then F7 would kill me, and that repeated many times before I just used rockets and only got the shock when it was safe hehe.

LOL. Not dissing your team, it's a smart strategy (until we try something else besides heading straight for it as soon as we come through the door). OhBoy and a few others were mopping up on our side of the central room, so it was hard to get out on foot. I started xlocing eventually when I saw it was going to be that way all game.

I just played Burger Wars and the FC refused to cap. We were trying to piston him into the cap. You know this map. He was inside the flagroom looking at the flag, but refused to cap. I was so p!ssed bllod shot out my ears all over the walls. Not really, but I was angry.
Did he do this on purpose? I mean was he tanking the game? As soon as he got killed he went back and grabbed the flag again.
I think his name was "Heat Damer". Can anybody who was in the game confirm this.
Man do I hate that.
FBMachine
09-25-2002, 01:13 AM
Yeah the name sounds right. I tryed best I could to piston his ass over to the flag but he kept shooting at us and backtracking. Maybe he just didn't see the big yellow flashing sign telling him he has the flag. Another tool in that match was JohnnyQuest. He kept hiding in the pitch black hills with the sniper rifle, one time with axe as well.  It's one thing to whip out the sniper rifle and take out the EFC down range, it's another thing all together to sit in the dark and just shoot at people that go by for several minutes.
Dan
ShirleyFT
09-25-2002, 01:20 AM
Yeah, JohnnyQuest is a sneak, but he's also a lousy sniper. I kept hearing bullets hitting around me and about the 5th or 6th one would hit. Not even a headshot and I was standing still. We won and it was close. If he got off his butt and helped his team it may have been different.
I wonder about Heat damer though. As soon as he got killed he went back and got the flag again. I "wonder" if he was tanking it.
