View Full Version : Anyone else havin probs with the game server?

I had some monster probs with the game server today, and only from my game machine. It happens to be an XP box, and when I first got on there at around 9AM EST today, it was cool...

Then around 12:30 EST, it all went to hell - there were some others that had the problem as well... But am not sure if they are still having it.

The funny thing is, my Win2k box seems to be fine. I get pings (regular pings, not UT pingtimes around 90 or so from my Win2K box, but somewhere between 1000 and 1500 from my XP box.

Anyone else havin this prob? Is it us XP'rs or is it everyone?

Mikey and Stealth, I can send you some traces if that'll help...

There have been some routing issues on the Internet yesterday and today. Communication between the web server and the game server has been intermittent all day.

Last night the server wouldn't send the maps. So you sat there at 0% for like 30 minutes waiting for the game to start until you threw your axe into your monitor.

Some pretty F'd up sh*t on the net... What are you guys doin to us??? I'm gonna hafta go steal BamBam's MCB if I don't get a fix quick....

Hmmm... I wonder if I could play UT on those sat phones they have on planes... I hear they aren't real fast... But Hey... Just incase the server comes up while I am en route, ya know...
