Well... aside from Dep's Wonka, the Oompah Loompahs and Elfman's music... the movie wasn't too bad. :sour:

1/2 looking forward to it.
Depps Wonka looks bizarre, like a white Micheal Jackson but weirder.....
Suprised Danny Elfmans music wasn't great though, i'm a huge fan of his gothis styles.

It's the music for the Oompah Loompahs... OMG what were they thinking?

i went into this without much expectation, and left feeling it was even better than the original.

excellent movie. and the casting was great. tim burton once again pulls off enough subtle creep to make you keep watching for more.

the backstory on willy added alot, and johnny depp takes it just to the line of "over the top" but never crosses it. there were some great scenes, like the freak show opening of the factory, mike tv, and veruca salt's "exit".

A guy dressed up as Wonka was handing out free tickets for the movie when I was in the Starbucks located in Borders in Glasgow. Unfortunately I was about to pass out from low blood sugar at the time and didn't want to give my place up in the queue for food to get one lol. Too bad neither of my parents took the initiative (they were sitting at a table right next to Wonka...) to get some either. Ah well.

I absoloutly loved the movie! I would even stretch so far by saying its better than the book.
And Im not surprised at all that not so young men didnt like it and thought the music was weird.
Its made for the kids, and I suppose people who has knowledge to Roal Dahl and the way he writes would find much more joy in the movie than people who hasnt. :)

I'm really looking forward to the movie. It gets nothing but good reviews here, and I'm a big fan of Tim Burton. Couldn't be better. :D

I saw it a few days ago. It was lightly odd, bitter sweet, but all in all, it ROCKED. :D
