7th victory in a row. Just, wow....words can't even explain how great an accomplishment this is. So, I lead you to the article:
Hearty congrats to Lance!

Read an interesting areticle somewhere the other day that was talking about the physiology of Lance... Something about his lung capacity, heart size, and ability for his lungs to glean oxygen at high altitudes... The doc said that he estimated that there were only about 20-30 people in the world with the kind of physiology needed to excel at what Lance does... And 10 of them are in the TdF... Pretty wild stuff.

Not to diminish Lance's achievements, because he will go down as one of the greatest cyclists in history, and I agree with that. But...
The only race Lance does is the Tour de France. He spends all year training specifically for the Tour de France. All of the other racers do a full schedule of races, leaving them significantly less time to train for the Tour. Do you think Lance would have been nearly as dominant if he'd raced a similar schedule to the other competitors.
Also, on a lighter note, anyone think that Lance won't really retire? I bet we'll see him competing again, probably not the Tour, but some more minor races.
